Tom had really expected this holiday to be the best one of his life. He needed this holiday since they had been through too much lately. Waking up early, wrapped up in Max's arms as their kids slept in the bed next to them was perhaps the best feeling in life for Tom. He had missed the closeness between him and his husband and the kids. But during this holiday, Tom was expecting their little family to get more close and for their bond to get even stronger.

"What are you thinking about so early in the morning?" Max asked Tom when he saw his husband awake. "I've missed this" Tom said as he snuggled in Max's arms. "And I've missed this" Max said leaning in to kiss Tom. Their kiss was getting a bit heated as both of them grabbed onto each other to get even closer when suddenly Nathan's cries broke them up. Sighing, Max rubbed a hand over his face as Tom got out of bed to scoop Nathan up. "What's got my baby crying?" Tom asked but he already could feel that the four year old had wet himself. Checking over Siva and Jay, he found that Nathan had gotten both boys wet too. "Maxie, we got three wet boys to clean" Tom said, bouncing Nathan in his arms as he took the boy to the bathroom.

It had been quite a work early morning to get those three boys clean. Jay had been very cranky at being woken up for a bath so early while Siva had been upset since he had managed to keep his pull up dry but his little brother had gotten him all wet. Tom, meanwhile, had managed to get Nathan cleaned and calmed down. Deciding to get the boys to cheer up a bit, Tom went all out with breakfast, deciding to let the boys eat whatever they want and tried not to wince at the amount of sugar going in his son's stomach. "Why do I feel that we're going to regret this?" Max chuckled as he whispered to Tom. Tom sighed, smiling at how Nathan's face was getting covered in chocolate.

Sitting at the end of the table, Mrs. Parker watched her son and son-in-law get cozy with each other. No matter how many times she watched his son's little family, she couldn't have enough of it. Tom's dad had been watching his wife get teary eyed throughout breakfast and he waited for breakfast to be over before asking his wife what's going on. "It feels really good to see Tom and Max so happy in their life along with those three boys." Mrs. Parker said. Mr. Parker nodded. He had been one of those who had been a little upset with Tom being gay and wanting to marry Max but with time he had gotten close to his son-in-law.

After breakfast, Tom's parents had sat down with Tom and Max for a little chat as Jay, Siva and Nathan played not much far from them. "Everything's been good lately?" Tom's Dad asked him. "Well you could say so" Tom said as he looked over to Max. "What's so wrong?" Tom's Mum asked, getting a bit worried. Tom sighed as he told them about the past events of how they brought Kyra and Kyra brought distances between all of them. Max had reached over to intertwine his fingers with Tom's while Tom's parents looked over at the kids with teary eyes. "You guys went through all this and you didn't even tell us anything. Not even about Tom being in the hospital" Tom's Dad asked. "Sorry Dad" Max said as Tom added, "it was my decision not to tell you guys anything. Besides, we're fine now." "You know what you need boys? Some time alone. You need a couple's time" Mrs. Parker said. "Mum, we're okay." Tom insisted. "Shush, your mother is right, Tom. Go spend some time together with each other. Have some lunch out and just spend some time with each other and be back tomorrow morning. There's nothing planned for today so you guys can spend some alone time." Mr. Parker said. "Dad, the kids..." Max trailed off. "We'll watch the kids" Tom's mum said, leaving Tom and Max no other option than to agree.

After their little chat with the parents, Tom and Max packed an overnight bag for them. Tom's parents had gotten them the keys of their cousin's holiday house a bit further down from where they were staying. The two of them had been very reluctant to accept the gift but as their parents reminded them how much they needed this time alone, they accepted but they had been very worried about leaving the kids for a whole night. Gathering the kids in their room, Tom said, "Babies, your grandparents gave daddies a gift." "A gift?" Nathan asked. "Yes, a gift. Daddies will go on a mini holiday and have some time alone with each other but we will be back tomorrow morning, we promise." Max said. "We come too?" Siva asked. Tom and Max shared a look at each other as they looked back to the kids, sighing loudly.

It had been quite difficult to convince the kids that they were not going forever and that they will be back tomorrow and that their grandparents will take good care of them. But somehow, Tom found himself standing at the car with Max as he waved bye to his four year old who was bawling his eyes in Tom's mother's arms with Siva looking very upset as he stood next to Tom's father with Jay who was pouting with his arms crossed over his chest. Tom and Max looked somewhat torn to leave the boys alone but then the parents reminded them that they had been through too much with their relationship and they were only going away for half of the day and a night, the boys will be okay without them for that much of time. Tom sighed as he drove off with Max trusting his parents to take care of the kids.

When they reached the holiday house, Tom looked over at Max smiling. "Lunch?" Tom asked. "Not in the mood for it" Max chuckled pulling Tom in a kiss, "Who wants lunch when I can have you for lunch, dinner and tomorrow's breakfast." Tom chuckled, "I love you Max."

Back with his parents, the kids were not having a happy day. Firstly their Daddies had gone on a holiday and now there was a mean grandma who is supposedly their Daddy Tom's aunt, glaring at them. "Lunch kiddos?" Tom's Dad asked as he looked over his son's kids. Siva shook his head as Jay and Nathan also refuse. "Leave them. If they're hungry they'll eat" Tom's aunt said. Glaring at her, Jay pulled Nathan down from his grandma's arms and pulled Siva close to him. Shaking his head at the kids, Tom's father looked at his wife hoping that sending Tom and Max on a mini holiday wouldn't turn wrong.
