Lana's POV

I let out a sigh when I heard the sound of the bell ringing which made my heart beat faster. My hands gripped tightly onto the clipboard which had been given to me, I lifted it up to meet under my hooded gaze so my eyes could scan over my classes. After quickly looking over my classes I headed in the direction of my first class,

Math

The sound of my feet hitting off the tiles greeted my ears. The hall was now silent and almost empty bar from a few students wandering around the place probably skipping class. My class room number was room 7 B wherever that was, after a few minutes my eyes caught sight of room 7 A.

I walked further down the wide corridor my heart beat was racing in my chest uncontrollably. The hall looked like it was getting smaller and smaller as I approached the classroom. I stopped in front of my classroom, quickly shutting my eyes before opening them again to let out a deep breath.

Just get over with today, do not talk to people and don't make any friends get back home on time or you're in deep shït.

Those were the lovely encouraging words spoken by my uncle dearest yesterday as he prepared me for school.

I ever so slowly lifted my hand to knock on the door waiting before patiently for an answer. The chatter that I had heard previously seized to a stop. The door opened revealing a woman around mid-thirties. She gave me a warm smile before saying.

"Come in dear,"

I nodded my head before squeezing past her while she held the door open for me, I stood in the front of the class looking over all my class peers.

"Ok class this is Lana Smith she's new to this school so give her a warm welcome" my math teacher Mrs.Harper said as she walked towards her desk and sat down.

"Lana why don't you introduce yourself" she said

I muttered a few words.

"What was that" she said as she raised an eyebrow.

I could hear the sniggers of my fellow peers who were blatantly pointing at me, while a few girls in the corner covered their hands over their mouths while they whispered into each others ears.

Like I cared.

"My names L-Lana and I'm 17" I simply said.

"Ok then, Lana you can sit next to Kandice over there, Kandice Rose, dear lift up your hand" she said and I watched as a girl in a blue crop top with brown hair and brown eyes raised her hand while giving me a small smile.

She seemed nice

I walked past the other students desks feeling their eyes penetrate through my skull, their faces held curiosity at most and I couldn't help but ignore the fact that a few girls in particular were giving me the evils. Finally reaching my table, I pulled out my chair and sat down before pushing myself forward into the desk.

I listened and took notes down as the teacher droned on and on but each time something or someone should I say was bothering me. Out of the corner of my eyes I could see kaitlyn staring at me trying to get my attention.

"Psst" she said making my face scrunch in irritation.

What does carpet want now

"Hey, I'm talking to you" she whispered

I turned towards her giving her a look clearly saying 'what do you want'.

"Hey I was just wondering why are you like wearing a hoodie, I mean it's pretty hot outside and inside, do you have a body heat problem because I had a friend who's cousin's aunt's nephew's son's wife had a sickness like that." she rambled.
