Hiiii. Just need to say real quick: that my wattpad is kinda glitchy right at this moment, so I can't go back and edit things I missed. But anyways, this is(mainly...) just a filler chapter sooo, yeah nothing too exciting... Yet.-------
Chapter six
Brooklyn's POV
I slammed my hand down into my kitchen counter as I yawned for about the 50 time that evening, I didn't get a lick of sleeping last night, probably because of nerves.
I still haven't gotten use to two boys basically living in my back yard, nonetheless this old, rickety house. At least you got a house Brooklyn.
Martin and Jackson were freaking out in the living room. I heard shouts of annoyance and rambles of things I couldn't quick catch, all in one minute as I laid my head on the cold counter top.
After I had questioned them as to why they were at my house, and hadn't gotten a straight answer, I decided I'd leave them alone, seeing as I don't know what to do when I have company.
I don't know how to be social..... Or maybe I'm just awkward?
Shuffling could be heard as I lifted my head and turned in my seat, eying Jackson as he limped into the kitchen. "Why are you limping?"
"Oh um. I tripped on the stairs coming back from the bathroom upstairs...." He said bashfully, as I stared at him more. I knew he was lying, it's been something I could always see when the scientists said they'd found a way to 'cure me'.
"Why'd you lie Martin?"
"Jackson."
"Why'd you lie Jackson?"
Just then Martin decides to enter the situation, sitting down next to me and staring at me.
"What? Do I something on my face? Oh, thats called a smile you should find one." Seriously he never smiles.
"I smile." No you don't.
"PROVE IT!"
"Fine-"
"Martin?"
We both moved to where we could both see Jackson clearly. He was clawing at his nails with a scowl on his face. He looked up at Martin.
"I hungry." He said, innocence clear in his voice.
"Didn't you eat like one minute ago? And don't you two go digging around in my kitchen! Just got to know the place when two boys show up outa nowhere." I mumbled the last part, but Jackson obviously heard it since he looked at me with a soft, yet confused expression.
"...maybe." He looked down.
"I KNEW IT."
"Ok guys! We should get to work! We need to figure out why all those... Events happened yesterday." Martin said, annoyed.
"that's why you don't smile you're addicted to work." I commented.
"Shut up."
"No."
After arguing more, and after Martin tried to get us to 'work', Jackson went digging around my kitchen, which I yelled at him for, which Martin yelled at me for. I desired to walk upstairs after that whole ordeal and slowly opened up my closet.
It was small, actually it was pretty big, but not like a walk in closet. More like one you'd find in a hotel.
As I rummaged through the few clothes that were stored in there, shouting -again- could be heard from down stairs.
Probably fighting about jelly.
-
After I changed out of my, yesterday clothes you could call them maybe? I changed into more comfortable clothes, and walked down the stairs I now learned to despise. They just so narrow and easy to fall down.
I walked into the kitchen once again where I found the screaming boys sitting.
"for pete's sake what're you two fighting about now?"
"Nothing!" Both shouted at the same time as I slowly walked closer. "K."
I watched as they both ran into the living, sitting onto the couch as they began to play something on their computers. I learned this morning that they were brothers, which I hadn't guessed because they look a little bit different. They both had brown hair and blue eyes, but I suppose I see the similarities now that I know they're siblings.
I noticed how gentle Martin seemed with Jackson, like he'd break at any minute, Martin was also super protective of Jackson(I realized that in everyone of my books, it had an older brother who is protective over a little brother... I might have a problem..).
Makes me wonder what they went through, wherever they came from.
As Martin and Jackson dosed off on the couch, I leaned onto the table for support as I looked at the clock.
6:39
"It's not that late, why are they so tired all of a sudden?" I asked myself quietly.
Martin's arm was around jackson's shoulders as Jackson leaned into him a little, his computer was sliding off his lap, sliding onto the floor..
I grabbed it, but slowly dropped it on the coffee table next to us as I backed up, breathing fast.
How'd I get there so face? I was in the kitchen...
I sighed. "all these weird things happened to me... First I get a-attacked by forks and pans... Then I can teleport? I don't get it?" I mumbled, rubbing my forehead.
Maybe I should sleep. See if I can get my hair to change?
Walking up the stairs was always a pain. No I'm not lazy(I think) or fat(I think), it was just a pain because they were so steep, and wearing really fuzzy sock while basically climbing up a ramp doesn't work all to well.
As I laid down, face down, I wondered if I should've woken up Martin and Jackson and told them to go to there tents?
I should have...
Walking down the stair another time, walking through the kitchen and into the living room, I grabbed both their shoulders and shook them awake, told them to go to their tents, and watched as they lazily got up, Jackson holding onto Martin's shirt as he basically dragged his little brother out side and into their tents, Martin climbing in too as he poked his head out one more time and yelled a drowsy; "goodb- I mean goodnight."
I only waved and walked upstairs, ONCE AGAIN, and fell unto my bed and shut my eyes.
"Goodnight." I said to myself.
