Chapter twoBrooklyn's POV~
"What the heck is happening?!" I scream. I poke at my hair. What in the world
if I try to go to sleep would it change? Probably not, like I would fall asleep again anyways.
I got up and walked around. I started to panic. The scientist are gonna throw me out. if my hair just all of a sudden stops changing, I'll have no purpose here. I'd just be a ordinary girl with purple hair.
I knocked on the door, hoping someone would hear me, but frowned as no one came to my aid.
"Hello?" Dr. Mason said, poking his head in as I kept pacing. I smiled as I ran to him and stopped in front of him.
"I went to sleep but my hair didn't change. what does that mean?" I asked, slightly panicked as I didn't want anyone to overreact.
"Why do you think I would know?!" He almost yelled out of frustration, he rubbed at his hair as he thought.
You see, Dr. Mason isn't like most doctors, he's a teenager.
"Your hair what?" I heard a deep voice. I jumped and looked over. Seeing Mr. Claven enter my room.
My hair didn't change and your probably gonna throw me out of this program.
"Her hair is the same as it was yesterday." Replied Dr. Mason. gee thanks.
Next thing I know Mr. Claven stepped towards me, and throws his hands out and drags me toward the main office.
All I remember is seeing Dr. Nayen and his minions, and blackness.

My eyes darted open. I looked around my surroundings. I was in a unfamiliar house.
Wait. A real house. I jumped up, ignoring the pain in my head and looked out the window.
Trees, people, birds, buildings, cars. Nature!!
I looked down. seeing myself in a light pink dress and a skinny brown belt that I've never seen before.
I smiled as I looked around my new found home, and saw a small note on a side table, next to the bed I woke up on. It read;
".Hello Brooklyn. the tests worked. your hair is now normal, we are not allowed to say why your hair was changing. but we made it stop and that's what matters!! This is your new house. Completely furnished, two bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, closets and every thing you need. Your bedroom, in the up stairs, is where you are now. Also, you're in Paris France. So this is goodbye, you will never see us again.
Goodbye Brooklyn."
Really? Just like that? They're just gonna leave me? I don't know how to live on my own.
I looked out the window again. seeing in the distance, what looked like the Eiffel Tower.
I thought that was in Germany?
The tower shimmered in the sunlight. People walked around the streets. Holding coffee cups or pastries.
From the corner of my eye. I saw a brown cupboard. I slowly walked over to it, and opened it. I looked inside. There, sitting there was a black purse. I grabbed it and looked inside, curious to see if anything was in the purse.
There was tissues, a phone thingy (the scientists are so generous) a wallet, and lastly a note that read, 'the money's on the counter, have a nice day.'
"Um.. ok" I said, Unsure on what to do next. I walked around my new room. Wondering 'will i ever see shawn again? Or 'how am I supposed to live on my own?' I was snapped out of my thoughts as I felt my thigh connect to the floor.
I looked down, and saw the stairs to the second floor,
Yelling at myself for being so oblivious, I lifted myself off the step, and walked down the dull colored stairs.
As I approached the bottom step, I came into sight of a kitchen. it had brown table tops, a silver fridge, a silver microwave, a silver oven, a silver dishwasher, and dark brown cupboards.
I realized there was notes everywhere, teaching me how to use everything and telling me what they were.
I explored the lower level some more, finding a bathroom. I looked around, seeing a bath tub with a shower head. It had a white sink and a white toilet, cupboards filled with towels and toiletries.
I found the living room afterwards, with plush couches and a TV. next a closet, filled with shoes and coats.
Next to the closet was the door. Staring at it for awhile, I finally reached my hand forward.
I flinched when my hand hit the cold metal of the door handle. I swallowed, and stretched my hand forward again. Firmly gripping the handle, I used my other hand to unlock it. After that I hastily rounded my hand, twisting the handle around and hearing the door open.
I pulled it forward. Squinting my eyes, as the light hit my face.
I walked forward, almost falling over as I stepped out. I thought someone was gonna stop and catch me, like In the books. Except no one come, and I fell unto the sidewalk leading to my house. I was surprised when a hand reached out. I took it and stood up.
I sighed. "Thank you."
"No problem." a girl spoke up.
After i dusted off my clothes. I looked up seeing a girl about my age.
"I'm Ashlyn." she said. she stuck out her hand, which I gladly took and shook(hah). The scientists had taught me how to a long time ago.
"I'm Brooklyn." I said to her, as she let my hand go.
"I see you just moved in." she said, smiling.
"Um yeah kinda." I smiled back.
Today was confusing, exciting, weird, and funny. But after all, after that's all happened, I don't know how to react. This kinda stuff has never happened. Never have I been free.
