Chapter Seven
Buzzing. Buzzing is all I heard. Faint noises ringing in my ears as I waited by the lanterns.
The... The lanterns grew with fires inside them, almost like people. People who where lost, but still had life.
Everywhere I looked was dark, especially around the lantern. It was like a forcefield was surrounding it, making light, but pushing it away.
The buzzing froze. Almost like it had a mind of it's own. Deciding how it lived, how is was to be controlled.
I could still hear the noise, i could no longer hear the noise. It was like it was trying to mess with me, replaying over and over again to see if I'd snap in two.
I looked down to the lantern that hung in my hand, only to find my hand empty. Darkness overthrew me and i never felt more.... Sleepy.
I was always tired honestly, i just never showed it, always ignoring it, slapping it away like a annoying fly hanging over my head. I never really got enough sleep.
One by one lights shown in her eyes as she woke up. Honestly, I need more sleep.
She got up to find excitement in her step, as she leap out of bed. I don't need more sleep! She thought. I got enough last night!
Her excitement drown as she saw her blue eyes in the mirror. She looked down.
Blue eyes. Blue eyes. Blue eyes. Brown eyes... Brown hair.
She gasped, looking back up. Her eyes were brown, her hair was purple. Where have I seen those blue eyes?(oh I dunno in da mirror just a second ago idk)
Her hair was greasy, filthy. But she made no interest in that. What sparked her interest was the music, coming from down stairs.
She threw her door open with a loud, 'BAM!', and rushed down stairs... Gracefully.
Her hip hit the floor, but once again, she made no attention to that and got up, trying to detect where that music was coming from. It sounds so familiar.
Finally! She's decided it was in the living room, so, she went in there, only to find Martin sitting alone with his... Box thing plugged into a bigger box with music coming out of it. Strange.
"What's-." She stopped, She couldn't hear herself. Her hand covered her mouth as she screamed.
The music stopped, "what, what happened?!"
"MY VOICE IS GONE!!!"
"No it's not, can you hear yourself now-?"
"Well-."
"It's there! you have It! You're fine... Jeez." He rolled his eyes, sitting back down and turning on his music. Quieter this time, so Brooklyn could have her voice back.
" but, it was just gone a second ago, THAT'S WITCHCRAFT... MAGIC-."
"Jus–"
"NO IT-" Brooklyn covered her ears, as the music became to loud to listen too. Although, Martin looked fine.
She ran outside, looking for Jackson. Maybe he'd be more quiet.
As she yelled out, "JACKSON??", she caught no response. Must he's doing something?
"MARTIN???!!!???" She yelled, scaring him half to death.
"WHAT?!"
"WHERES JAC-"
"You don't have to yell anymore, I turned my music off-"
"Where's Jackson??"
"Um, right here."
They turned around, seeing Jackson, his hair covering his face.
"What's that?" Brooklyn and Martin asked, and Brooklyn wondered how her and Martin somehow said that at the same time.
"Nothing." Came his reply.
"You sound just like the scientists when they say they 'found' something."
Jackson gasped, running out the back door.
"Was it something I said?"
___
nine o'clock came around way faster then it should have, I swear I looked at the clock just three minutes ago and it said one o'clock, now it's nine, as I said.
The stairs felt crowded, stuffy. My hair was a mess, my feet felt heavy. My skin looked way more pale than I remember. My bed felt more comfortable than last night.
Sinking into my wonderful duvet, I shut my eyes, sleep pulling me into its wonderful darkness...
I awoke to shaking, and that familiar... Fantastic... Buzzing sound. I closed my eyes once again.
"No! Brooklyn! Wake up right now!" I looked up to see the concerned face of Martin, I was dragged up, shades of red slashed in my eyes as I fought to wake up.
"We need to leave right now. We're in danger."

Thus the fun begins.
