Brooklyn's POV;

"I do not understand."

The sunlight barely grazed the hill land as the sun began to fall, shades of orange and yellow were spotted around the skyline as I stared on.

"What don't you understand?"

The hill land was full of green with little patches of colored flowers. Trees surrounded me, but there was only a few in the hill land, which made it unique and beautiful.

"I was brought up to believe the earth was dull and boring, but this is nothing like I thought it was."

My purple hair blew in the wind as I turned to Martin, who was sat besides me, holding up a sleeping Jackson. His cheeks turned pink as confusion took over my expression, it was as though he thought it was embarrassing to be caught looking at me.

"Why'd your cheeks turn pink?"

"I don't know what you're talking about.."

"Oh, do you not know that your cheeks turn pink? It's hilarious!"

"Can you quiet down?! You're gonna wake Jackson." I looked to Jackson, who always seems to be sleeping, he was breathing softly and looked to be comfortable.

"I'm whispering, Martin,"

"Well I- you didn't... Hmpf-"

He slouched down, a pout evident on his face. His cheeks were even more pink this time.

"Seriously, what is that?"

"It's called a blush..."

"Sounds mysterious."

"You're an idiot."

"Thank you."

"That's not a compliment,"

"Well, I took it as one, so shut up, buttercup."

"Did you just pet name me?" A blush appeared on his cheeks again as I chuckled, amused as Jackson was now awake and confused on what was happening. "How do you even know what a buttercup is?"

"Yes, yes I did, and I know my candy Martin."

"Uhh, Okay? Let's just take it down a notch with the nicknames, alright? It's not funny."

"Nah, I don't think I will, Blushy!"

I laughed loudly as I pinched Martin's cheeks, squinting my eyes in amusement as he swatted my hands away, annoyance clear on his face.

The wind was now cool and calm as we settled down, eventually getting up and walking back to camp. I had earlier begged to be brought back to the forest edge to see the master piece, which was the hill land.

I was still laughing as I stumbled over rocks and bumps in the earth. Jackson kept asking what happened, but Martin just ignored him as he was lost in thought.
