Brooklyn's POV;

The car ride, as Jackson described it, was very long. We had been traveling for what felt like a day for me, since I am not used to traveling. I had ask Martin earlier where we were going, to which he mumbled an inaudible answer, that I simply let go.

I looked out the window, observing all the colors that mixed together with ease. The oranges, blues and yellows that came from between the cracks of the trees were from the sky, the greens, grays and browns that flooded from the forest as we passed by were simply captivating.

"No matter how many times I look at all the nature and beauty around me, I will never get tired of it. It will always take my breath away, even if I don't show it, I am in complete awe of everything I've missed out on."

"You should write a fricking book," Jackson said, looking over at me as I raised my eyebrows,

"What's a fricking book?"

"You, don't know, what a book is?! I thought you said you read tons of them at the Lab?"

"I did, I just don't understand the category of 'fricking'. Which reminds me, what were you two doing at the Lab ?

Jackson and Martin shared a look through the little mirror on top of the roof in front of Martin. Jackson shook his head as Martin sighed and leant back more into his chair.

"It would only be fair, if we shared both our stories."

"I suppose so, even though I've already told you some of my story, could you go first?"

Martin look annoyed as he blinked a few things and glanced out the window, preparing for a long story I assume,

"Jackson and I's father worked at the lab, studying the paranormal and working test on plants, flowers and sometimes animals. Our mother, who strongly disagreed on using such harsh chemicals on animals, left our dad when he wouldn't quit his job for her, and left us with him, which, at the time, I was 9 and Jackson was 5. We just lived our simple lives in our playrooms with all the other children at the Lab, but one day, after 5 years, something happened when me and Jackson where with our dad, a experiment went wrong, and basically exploded on me and Jackson, we were left in quarantine for a week without human interaction or sweets, just distasteful blobs of ich, our dad didn't even come see us, he was so upset that his test didn't go well, he forgot all about his sons. Eventually, things started happening and that's when we were put into a special program for paranormal behavior, that's why I could sense danger, a test tube exploded in my face. Eventually, the scientists became bored with us when our powers didn't change or strengthen, and left us to our own defenses. One day, the scientists finally came to see us and told us that an "experiment" was being released, and if we heard any weird noises, not to investigate or make noises of our own, and luckily, she left the door unlocked, and we escaped and found you." Martin ended, looking proud for telling his life story so "perfectly", which to be fair, was better than mine. Although, I have a feeling he wasn't telling me everything.

"wait, how'd you know how to find me?" I asked, throwing away my previous paranoid thoughts, figuring it wasn't my place to ask.

"Jackson can track and figure out important stuff."

"What?"
