Chapter 5-

I tried to flutter my eyes open. I was moving. Fast too. Everything was blurry. It was still dark out. Someone was holding my limp body. Squeezing me tight making sure I wouldn’t fall. I was being healed bridal style. I could tell that a man was carrying me. But where to? I heard his heart beat with my ear pressed ageist his chest. I slowly looked up at his face and he was focusing on running to wherever we were going. What had happened? Why does my head hurt? Why is this man running with me in his arms? He looked down at me to make sure I was okay. He gave me a sweet little smile, and then looked back to where he was going. Then I just passed out.

I shot open my eyes open. All I saw was a blue certain and my feet at the end of a hospital bed. I had a gown on. Where was my bag? And my phone? My head felt like someone was squishing it. My arm hurt like hell but I didn’t move at all.

“Nurse” I said in a soft whisper. “Nurse nurse” I said a little louder. “NURSE!” I yelled loud enough that one could hear me. One came rushing in.

“Oh your awake.”  She said in a soft voice checking my stats and IV that was shoved into my arm.

“W-what happened? W-where am I?” I asked stuttering.

“You are at London Bridge Hospital in London.” She said slowly so I could understand. She had a small weak British accent. “I’m your nurse Jaden.”

“Hi” I said shyly. “What happened?”

“We don’t quite know yet, but a young man ran in here carrying you. He told us that you had fallen. He hasn’t left since 7:00 last night. He hasn’t even slept. I think you have a keeper there.” She winked at me.

“What? No. No my boyfriend is at home… in the U.S. Who are you talking about?” I looked at her confused.

“Oh the antistasia should where off in a little bit. We had to drug you.”

“NO!” I snapped. “I know who I am, I’m Jodi Walker I am 18 years old and I live in Colorado and I’m visiting to find a job.” I said louder than I should. Jaden just steeped back and stared at me.

“D-do you want me to go and get the sweat man who brought you in?” Jaden asked shocked by what I had said to her.

“Please!” I told her. I could hear her over my steady beep of the monitor.

“You can go in now she is awake. Be sensitive…” She quiet down. I watched the certain open slowly.

“Hi” I knew him. Where have I seen him before? “I’m Paul.” He said in a strong deep British accent.

“Have we met before?” I asked him as he pulled up a chair to my bed. He had short brown hair, blue-green eyes and he was buff.

“Ermm… no I don’t think so.”

“Do you know what happened to me? I’m lost. I remember talking to my boyfriend on the phone and that’s it.”  I tried to explain to him. Paul looked at me with a strange look.

“I was walking on the same sidewalk as you. Just a few people behind you. Just walking back to my job. Then I saw someone just disappear. As a bodyguard it’s a nartal habit for me to rush to someone’s aid.” He explained to me looking right into my eyes. “And there you were laying on the ground unconscious with a broken arm.” I looked at my arm to find it broken. I couldn’t even feel the pain at all. “I just picked you up and ran to the hospital, and waited to know that you where okay.”

“Thank you so much. What do you think I tripped on?” I said looking at my arm.

“Most defiantly you tripped on a big crack. Your heel got stuck and you tried to break your fall but you shattered your arm.”

“Oh my gosh!” I said widening my eyes. “so you said you’re a bodyguard. Who for? If you don’t mind me asking.”
