Chapter 6-

“Oh my gosh no way!” I exclaimed to Paul. “You…Oh my….I’m speechless.”

“Well I Better get going I have to keep guarding the precious bodies.” Paul said while getting up. We had spent the whole day together. The nurse told me that I could go home on a few days, depending on how my head heals.

“Oh okay thank you again for helping me and making sure I was okay.” I thanked him once more.

“You are welcome and it was no big deal. I do want to know how you are doing though. This is the One Direction hotline.”He grabbed my napkin under my cup of water and a pen and wrote down the number.

“Call anytime. Just say you are Jodi Walker and they will connect you to me. But you have to promise me something. To protect me and everyone who works for One Direction.”He told me making sure I wouldn’t share any information. I nodded as Paul stared at me, then smiled.

“Can I ask you a question Paul? Just before you go?”I asked so he couldn’t say no.

“Sure go ahead Jodi. Anything you want.” He stopped and turned towards me.

“Are the boys as nice as they sound? Niall’s smile? Harry’s cheekiness? Zayn’s class? Liam’s protectiveness? Louis’ funniness? Is that all real? Or is it all fake? All a show?” I asked worried he would say it was all fake.

“You know a lot of people think that because they are so good. That’s why they get all those evil heartless people who send hate to them. They are truly just like you described. I haven’t met anyone as nice as them.” Paul said with a little sadness in his thought. I had gotten him choked up.

"That’s great! I knew that it wasn’t a joke but I’ve seen the hate being sent to them. I can’t believe what they have to deal with.” I told him with sorrow. There was an awkward silence when nurse Jaden walked in. she told me I can get a cast the next day then a day after that I can leave. Me and Paul looked at each other and gave one and other a big grin. Once Jaden left Paul asked me if I wanted to meet the boys once I get better or just out of the hospital.

“Yes! That would be great! Are you sure that this would be okay? I don’t want to be a bother.” I asked hoping that I could still meet them.

“Well I’ll have to ask management and the boys, and check the schedules. But I think we will be okay.”

“Well I’m only hear for two weeks and I have to find a job too, so me and my boyfriend can move away from my crazy mom.” He gave me a cheeky grin and chuckled, making me laugh too.

“Well if you want to give me your phone number I can give you a ring by tomorrow afternoon.” He said pushing a pen and paper towards me. I wrote down my cell phone number and handed it back to him. As he folded it and put it in his pocket he said

“Thank you and I’ll give you a ring as soon as I can.”

“Well thank you for giving me this opportunity. I really appreciate it. And thanks for bring me in.” I said proud then getting weaker when I talked about the accident. Paul nodded and then just left. Without saying goodbye. Not even a smirk.
