WPOV:
I always wake up at dawn. However, this time I don't. By the time in conscious, my clock says its nine am.
Nico is asleep, laid on my chest. He looks so peaceful when he's sleeping. The sadness and fear in his eyes is covered, his pained expression relaxed, his scowl gone. I brush some hair from his forehead and smile.
Nico turns slightly, nestling his face into my chest. One of his hands is testing just above my heart, and the other is hanging off the edge of the bed.
Suddenly, his eyes flutter open.
"Morning." I smile. I meant to say it cheekily, but it comes out as a soft whisper. Nico smiles up at me.
"Did you have any more nightmares?" I ask him. He shakes his head. "Good."
I don't want to get up, as I'll have to move Nico, so I stay like that for a while, my arms around his waist. I roll over so Nico is beside me, and he curls closer to me. "Are you stealing my warmth?" I ask. Nico nods and I grin. "Good, you need to be warmer. You're freezing!" I can't see properly, but I think I see Nico smile.
Eventually, I have to get up. "Sorry, but I really need the toilet." I say. Nico nods and I get up, stretching. He buried under the blankets, so all I can see of him is his hand hanging out of the bed and the top of his head poking above the covers.
I give the top of his head a quick kiss and he burrows deeper, which I find insanely cute. "You're adorable, sunshine." I grin. I can perfectly picture Nico rolling his eyes and sighing at the nickname, but I don't care. He can call me anything he wants, and I won't mind.
