I always thought knowing everything about my father's adventures would be great. Because how could any of these stories have a bad ending? When I was a kid he told me these adventures as bedtime stories. I was scared that he wouldn't make it. But no matter how bad his situation was, he fought off the monsters. I used to wonder where he got all these smart last- minute ideas and lucky coincidences that helped him to beat up the worst enemies in the universe. And after all this time I realized one thing: He never told me everything. Because sometimes people gave their lives or afforded great sacrifices to make the story a happy ending.
Now I am a sixteen year old half-Time Lord whose permanent home is London, Earth. I know- it could be worse. But if your Dad had the whole universe inside a wooden blue police- box, would you be a good child and do your schoolwork?
