"Roxy, did you just say they are engaged?" I cannot believe my ears. My stomach twists in knots.
"Yeah, they got the whole, 'I'm not gay,' thing, out of the way and he went out and bought her a ring. Did you see the Today Show interview the other day?" Roxy asks.
"No, I live on a fucking bus, remember?" I tell her.
"Oh, yeah," she laughs. "That sounds terrible."
"You have no idea."
"Kellan, you know they are meant for each other, right?"
"Yeah, I know. That bastard's the perfect person for Gillian. I, really, wish I could hate him but he'll be really good for her."
Its true, he loves her and I knew it from the first time I saw him walk into Guinevere's. It made my heart break in two, the way he looked at her. I never really had a chance.
