Ryder wakes up and his hand goes to the side of him to find the person who usually lays there. There's nothing but sheets and a pillow. He instantly freaks out but he hears the bathroom door open. Ryley exits, hair wrapped in a towel and all she's wearing is her underwear.
"Morning." Ryley says with a grin.
"Morning babe." Ryder says, getting out of bed and giving her a quick kiss, placing his hands gently on her waist.
"You had one of those nightmares again didn't you?" Ryley asks.
"Yeah." Ryder says.
"I think you need to talk to a therapist about this. It's affecting you and us. I don't want to see you get put in an asylum because you've gone crazy from all this." Ryley says.
Ryder grabs her hands, "I'll go see a therapist for you. For us." He kisses her again.
"I love you." Ryley says.
"Love you too." Ryder says.

"So tell me Mr Lynn, what has been happening?"
Ryder lays on one of those couch things in a therapist's office.
"I've been having these vivid dreams of the girl I love dying." Ryder says.
"Has she ever left your life before?" The therapist asks.
"Yeah. She moved away for a couple of weeks last year and her mom abused her while she was there. Then we broke up a couple of weeks later. Then we got back together." Ryder explains.
"What do you feel when you see her?"
"Love. I love her so much."
"You're feeling like you need to protect her."
"I know I do but she does boxing so she can protect herself."
"A boyfriend's natural instinct is always to protect the love of their life. You love this girl-"
"Her name's Ryley."
"You love Ryley so much and when she's not around, let me guess, you're heart aches for her."
"Yeah. It does."
"This is just young love though. Most high school relationships never last."
"They do. We have friends who are in their early twenties who just recently got married. They dated on/off during high school."
"Well, that's still young love."
"But they truly love each other and I truly love Ryley. She's the one for me."
"You're only 18."
"I know what love is though."
"From movies and books right?"
"Can I just tell you that you are a terrible therapist?"
"No I am not, Mr Lynn. You're just a terrible patient."
Ryder stands up quickly, "I wasted my time here. I'm never going to get over this problem with me with you helping me."
"Stop, Mr Lynn," The therapist starts, "You have mild Thanatophobia, which is the fear of death."
