"YOU asshole." Na-ri grumbled as she walked over to the railing where Nam-ra was standing, giving her arm a light shove that mildly startled the other girl. "Why didn't you say you had a lighter from the start?"

Nam-ra looked up at the dark night sky, then down over the railing, watching as zombies roamed campus. "I forgot. I really did. But then, I remembered, and I hesitated. I didn't want anyone to ask about me smoking. I know that isn't a good reason. I wasn't going to keep it."

"Most teenagers smoke." Na-ri argued as she leaned back against the railing, reaching into her hoodie pocket. "I do." She admitted, holding up a box of cigarettes, barely full.

Nam-ra looked down at the box, then at Na-ri, her expression relaxing slowly.

"Are you surprised? I thought you knew when you said you smelled cigarettes on me." Na-ri reminded.

"I assumed you had a parent who smoked. You didn't seem like the type." Nam-ra said.

"Neither do you, but here we are." Na-ri shrugged. "Why do you smoke?"

"I smoke when I'm stressed." Nam-ra confessed calmly.

"I smoke when I'm upset." Na-ri admitted.

"So you smoke, too, but you don't have a lighter?" Nam-ra asked.

"I left mine at home today, I think." Na-ri shrugged.

Then, she opened the box in her hand and took out one of the two cigarettes left inside.

"You want?" She offered.

"Right now?" Nam-ra asked.

"Why not? It's not like the smell matters. We've been smelling nothing but dead bodies for days." Na-ri said. "If you don't want one, it's fine. Can I just borrow your lighter?" She requested, pointing her cigarette at Nam-ra.

Nam-ra glanced down at the paper tube briefly, then she reached into her skirt for her lighter and flicked it on, raising the flame to the white end of the cigarette and lighting it ablaze.

"Thank you." Said Na-ri.

Then, she took out the other cigarette and threw the empty box off the rooftop, holding the cigarette out to Nam-ra that time.

Nam-ra blinked slowly, her thumb tracing the spark wheel lightly in contemplation.

Then, she reached out to take the cigarette and place it between her lips, just about to light it when Na-ri abruptly grabbed her wrist, Nam-ra's brows giving a small twitch.
