Two years later, Calum had a surprise for me.
"Come on. I wanna show you something." He said with a smile. He looked so excited. I followed him out the door and to the car. He drove down a few streets before stopping in front of a strip mall.
"You wanted to show me a building?" I asked him. He laughed and shook his head.
"Just wait." He pulled me out of the car and through one of the doors. On the other side stood Natalie, Michael, Ashton and Luke. The three boys had huge smiles on their faces and Natalie looked just as confused as I felt.
"Whats going on?" I asked them.
"So. When we were in high school, I worked at this music store." Ashton said. "I hated the job but it was cool."
"So. After Ashton got fired," Michael said.
"We all decided it would be cool to have our own music store." Luke finished for Michael.
"So, since we made the decision, we've been saving up our money." Ashton said.
"Once we had enough, we started looking at places and we found this one." Calum said.
"That was about a year ago." Michael added. All the boys were getting more excited with each word.
"Within the year, we came up with a name, we built it up, and behind that curtain right there is the end product." Calum finished.
Me and Natalie exchanged a glance.
"Can we open it?" I asked. All the boys extended their hands to the curtain and we walked through it. Both of us gasped at the sight. The first thing you see when you walk in is the big picture of a bass guitar on the back wall. Underneath the picture, bass's of all different colors lined the wall. In front of it were countless shelves of music. And in front of those were vinyls. The store was huge and sold anything that had to do with music. A door at the back had a lit up sign over it that "Recording Studio".
"Well? What do you think?" Calum asked me. He wrapped his arms around me from behind and squeezed.
"Its amazing." I breathed.
"Whats its name?" Natalie asked.
Michael and Calum shared a look before turning to us.
"We want you two to name it." They said at the same time.
Natalie sat in the recording studio and disgusts names for the store. After about an hour, we finally settled on one.
"So? What'd you come up with?" Ashton asked impatiently.
"Fly Away Music." We said at the same time.
