'The Other Swan' (Twilight/Vampire Diaries Fan Fiction)

...A night not so prudently spent...

My phone rang at that moment and I answered it with pure rage distinct in my voice. "What do you want?"

"Hey, mum. I just want you to know that Rayna is here. She's safe and unconscious no one else knows where she is,"

"Thank you. Excuse me while I argue with Lorenzo,"

"Tell me the truth then," Enzo said.

"Which part of it do you not believe?" I asked him.

"You wear my ring after 120 years but you still insist on keeping me in the dark. Why is that?"

"Enzo. I am willing to do anything for you. Die for you. Live for you. Sacrifice myself for you. Which is exactly what I'm doing. I can't tell you because you'll want to save me or even better you won't because Bonnie says so. I don't want to take your memories of me away but I will do that if I have to,"

"You're not answering my question Aria," he argued.

"And you're not getting my point! I came to say goodbye Enzo,"

"What?"

"I'm leaving for good,"

"Leaving? To where?" he argued taking my arm

"I wish I could stay but with people like the one's in the armoury and your sister, that won't happen. I'm not safe. I'm sorry that i have to be so blunt but I have to go kill a few people now. You've always been so kind and so sweet. I hate that I've ruined you. I'm sorry. But soon you'll be happy again,"

"Stop," He said.

"What difference will it make if I'm gone? I cause you pain. You've suffered more than anyone. Like Augustine and... Anyway I heard what you said to Bonnie. I saw that kiss. I saw how it made you feel. I saw how it made her feel. Don't you want to be happy Lorenzo? Don't you want to find someone you'll be proud to call yours?" I asked him.

"I am happy but sometimes I feel you're distant. Like you don't want to be with me,"

"I'll ensure that you're happy, I'll make sure you'll have the life you deserve Lorenzo,"

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"I was hoping that I would have time to give you this when it was all over but I guess now is just right. I got this from your parents the night they left. They wanted me to tell you that they would be proud of you no matter what you became. That they loved you," I said and gave him the letter. I kissed his cheek and opened the door. "Take care of Bonnie for me. Make sure she's safe, give her this. She'll need it,"

"What does it do?"

"It conceals magic or better yet tell her to deposit it somewhere and keep it well hidden," I told him.

"I love you," he said.

"I love you too," I said.

"Don't remember the last time I got on a plane,"

"I'm just used to going places by boat. The good old days,"

"Are you friendly with them?" Klaus asked.

"Nope," I played with the dagger in my hand and I closed my eyes to ready myself for the landing later on. When the plane landed I was the first person off of the plane and the sun was just about to set. I shook out my limbs and hopped out of the airport. I briskly walked to the big building and I kicked the doors open. Walking through the long passages I saw no one but once I got into the hall I saw the Cullen family.

"The Olympic Coven brings me sad news. It saddens me that you have decided to turn against us. Yet you forget that I am more powerful than you will ever be. I am the oldest vampire and you are but a mere human,"

"Why didn't they tell him?" Klaus asked.

"Compulsion. Sorry it had to come to this," I pulled out my dagger and I clicked my neck. "Vasmatos superos em anami," I said and they all fell to their knees in pain.

"Take the Cullen family somewhere else and I'll deal with them later," I told Klaus and he nodded. I started with Athenodora. My blade pierced her chest easily and then I removed it as the stone turned a bright red. When I was left with Aro I smiled wickedly then heard someone call my name out.

"If the woman I love is in there you will not do this. If you want to prove Bonnie wrong and prove to me that you're not a monster you will back away," Enzo said and I turned around.

"Enzo, there is a link here. Do you think I kill people for fun? I kill people who deserve it. Like him, murdering children and threatening to murder another. In the end you'll see what I'm talking about,"

"Aria listen to me. I know that you are your father's daughter but please. Don't do this. Show me there is a little goodness in you," he said and I sighed.

"Fine. But Cade is coming for you," I said in Aro's ear before I snapped his neck and wiped the blood on his robe. I rangled all the bodies together and drew a circle with some salt and then set the bodies alight.

"I'm proud of you," he said.

"You say you hate when people abandon you and I now know what that feels like. But you abandoned me first. If you try to take this dagger away from me or if you try something Michael will die,"

"You would kill our son?"

"No, Rayna would," I told him and walked away. I saw Michael standing with his hands in his pockets.

"What would dad think of this?" Mike mocked.

"Your father would be outraged and that's exactly why he's not here today,"

"He's coming back right?"

"Depends on whether or not he actually wants to come back," I said.

"Too bad I have to die before then,"

"You're not going to die. I'll make sure of that,"

As soon as I made my way to Mystic Falls I saw Rayna and she was talking to Michael who was on the other side of the room with his sister. "Mum," she said and ran to me.

"Why are you here?"

"Bonnie released what was in the Vault and now... It's got them," she muttered.

"What do you mean? Who? When?"

"Enzo and Damon. She's got them," she whispered and my heart stopped. Everything I had done was falling apart before my eyes and I didn't know what to do. I was usually the woman with the plan but I had nothing. I had hit a blank.

"Pack your bags. We're leaving, you too Rayna. There's nothing more we can do here. We can't help them,"
