It was her 16th birthday today. The day for her first shift and to find her mate. She was excited that she would find her mate and he would make everything fine . Little did she know how wrong she was.
Her parents knew she was going to shift for the first time so they secretly agreed that they would beat her during her first shift. Her sister eagerly agreed.
So her parents did what they had agreed on. But their was a slight difference. She found her mate. Her mate protected her at first but then realised how much people hated her and how broken she truly was.
He dint want to deal with a broken mate. So he did something no mate would dream of doing. Instead of helping her heal, he gave her 6 months to fix herself. But how could 6 months be enough to heal the wounds of 16 years? Obviously she couldn't. He cheated on her with her sister.
That broke her even more. But she acted as if she did not know. That angered her mate. So he decided to torture her. He stopped protecting her. Every night he would act as if he was going to mark her but he never did.
She cried every time he did that.
She cried for she thought it was her mistake....but there was one problem.
It was never her mistake and deep down she knew it.
