I woke up with a startle. Sirens were sounding everywhere in the distance. Daniel was asleep next to me.

"Wake up!" I yelled at Daniel shaking him.

"W-what?" A curious Daniel responded, "What is going on?"

"I don't know," the sirens were coming closer, "let's get Lily." I replied. We escaped the worn out tent all packed,

"I will talk to Lily, if you pack up the tent."

"Sure." The sirens were coming closer. I ran to the blue tent Lily was in. As I reached it, Waterlily came out.

"You are hearing what I am hearing, right?" I asked Lily who was also packed.

"I am only talking to you because I have to." Lily said glaring at me.

"Wait what?" I said in the pouring rain, "is this about, Daniel? Because we have better things to do like running from the rain and sirens, then to talk about our love life!" I screamed.

"Fine, then lets go!" Lily shouted, "I can't believe you, we were having fun and in love, then you stole his heart!" She said packing the tent Daniel provided for her.

"Can we talk about this later?!" The sirens were closer. I turned.

"Guys, we need to go," Daniel said, "like now." That was my que to start sprinting. I ran away from the sirens, that still could be Driss and Edward, back from the dead. Sadly, I remembered that zombies are immortal, and Edward was a zombie. Daniel and Lily were close behind, but not nearly as fast as me. Feeling the wind in my face, and in my hair, I felt something I haven't felt in a long time, exhilaration pumping through my veins. I couldn't help it, I screamed. Not of pain, of happiness. We ran for what felt like an hour. When we heard the sirens stop Daniel and Lily stopped running, they were both out of breath.

"Water, need." Lily barely managed to say.

"Here take mine," I say, and passed it to her. She didn't say thanks, but by the way she drank it I could tell she was grateful. The rain still kept pouring, and I wanted to keep running, but even Daniel was exhausted. With the rain in his hair, and his glistening silver eyes, I wanted to kiss him. In the middle of the rain, in the middle of a siren chase. I wanted him, no I needed him. Daniel caught me staring at him. He smiled and I ran to him. He kissed me and he pulled me up, like a piggy back ride but in the front. I could hear Lily snorting and making mean remarks, but I didn't care. Daniel was my medicine, to make me happier. "I love him." I thought. When we were done kissing, he was still holding on to me. I needed to tell him how I feel.

"Daniel." I said.

"Yes?" He responded.

"I love you." The words slipped out of my mouth, but I didn't regret a second of it. He stared at me for a long time, like he was deciding what to say.

"I love you too." He said smiling at me. He put me down.

"While you were smooching the daylight away, I figured out where we can find the next clue, it also happens to be on the way to Las Vegas, and the sirens were Driss, Edward was too dumb to join her." Lily said.

"Wait how did you know all this?" I asked.

"Uh, just did." Waterlily said, and by the way she didn't make eye contact, she was hiding something.

"Tell us." Daniel said.

"I told you, I just happen to know." Lily said.

"You can't just 'happen to know' something." Daniel said harshly.

"I do, and I thought I 'happened to know' that you liked me, but instead you are dating her?!"

"Yes, and I love her." Daniel said smiling at me.

"You can't love someone in a day!"

"Well, he does, just like you 'happen to know' something, alright? Could you just stop fighting?" I shouted to the both of them.

"Fine." They said at the same time. This is going to be a long trip.
