Chapter 21

(3rd POV, 4 hours later)

"(Y/N).. (Y/N), wake up!" Lucy shouted as she shook (Y/N), who was asleep. Everyone else was already standing up besides (Y/N). (Y/N) slowly opened her eyes and groaned. "Who the hell woke me up?" She asked angrily and grumpily. Everyone shook in fear and pointed at Lucy, who backed away and hid behind Natsu. "Lucy.. I'll give you 10 seconds before I chase you and hit you." (Y/N) said as she started to get up. Lucy nodded, grabbed her stuff and ran off of the train.

(Your POV)

I smirked as I watched Lucy run off of the bus. Erza, Gray and Happy started to laugh, but not Natsu. "What the hell (Y/N)?! Really?" Natsu asked as he looked at me with a angry face. I stood up, rubbed my eyes and shrugged. "What? You know exactly how I am when I get woken up. " I said coldly. "That doesn't mean you have to threaten her! Control your anger next time, dumbass!" Natsu exclaimed as he got close to my face. 'Oh no he didn't.' "Unless you want to get hit in the face by me, I suggest that you get out of my face and run." I said as I looked at him and gave him a glare. He immediately took a step back, grabbed his stuff and ran out. "You're still angry at him, aren't you?" Erza and Gray asked as we all grabbed our stuff and began to get off of the train. "Hell yeah." I said as Happy landed on my head. "Don't worry (Y/N), I'm still mad at him too." Happy said. I chuckled softly and walked towards Natsu and Lucy. "You had some balls to yell at me Natsu. But next time, I would choose your words more carefully, dumbass." I said as Erza and Gray stood next to me. Natsu shivered and looked away from me. 'How the hell do I still love this idiot?' "We'll head over the job requesters house tomorrow. Once we check into the hotel and unpack, we'll go explore the town and ask shop owners if their stores have been robbed." Erza said as we all nodded and started walking to the hotel.

(Natsu's POV)
'She called me a dumbass.. I guess I did deserve it since I called her that too.. I don't even love Lucy, so why am I still dating her? I'm still in love with (Y/N).. Why did I break up with her?' I shook my head and continued to walk to the hotel, next to Lucy. "Are you alright Natsu?" Lucy asked me. "Yeah, I'm fine." I said as I nodded. "Okay.." Lucy said as we entered the hotel.

(Your POV)

When we entered the hotel, Erza checked us in and we went up to our rooms, which was on the 5 floor. "Since there are 3 rooms, we're gonna have to split up. Natsu will be with Lucy since they're dating. Gray and I will be in another room so (Y/N) you can have the other room to yourself. 'Yes!' I nodded and started to walk to my room, when a certain squeaky voice stopped me. "Wait, (Y/N)!" Happy called. "Huh? What do you need Happy?" I asked as I turned around to face him. "Can I sleep in your room? I don't like sharing a room with Lucy.. She's mean." He asked as he gave me puppy eyes. 'I wouldn't want to share a room with her..' "Sure" I said as Happy squealed and landed on my shoulder. "Yay!" He shouted as we headed towards our room. I opened the door, stepped inside then closed it. Happy got off of my shoulder then flew to the bed. He then landed face first. I laughed on the inside but not on the outside. I unpacked quickly and walked towards the door. "You coming Happy?" I asked as I opened the door. "Yeah, I'm coming!" Happy said as he flew off of the bed then landed on my shoulder. I stepped out, then closed the door. We then went down to the lobby and waited for the others to come down.

A few minutes later, everyone else came down. "There you are Happy! Where were you?!" Natsu asked as he came out of the elevator, saw Happy then came towards us. "I was with (Y/N). Sorry, but I don't want to share a room with Lucy.." Happy said as his ears went down slightly. "What? Why?!" Lucy asked as she appeared from behind Natsu. 'Was she always there?' "Because you're always mean to me!" Happy said as he stuck out his tongue. "I am not!" Lucy argued. Erza, Gray, Natsu and I sweat-dropped. "Um, you kinda are Lucy." Gray said. "Shut it Gray..!" Lucy said as she sulked. "Anyways, let's go around town and ask shop owners if they've been robbed." Erza said as we all nodded and went out of the hotel.

After asking a couple of store owners, we took a break near a big fountain. "So far every shop has been robbed except one and that shop is a jewelry shop." Erza stated. "Probably saved the best for last." Gray said. I looked at him and sighed. "Gray, your clothes." I said as I rolled my eyes. He looked down and his eyes widened. "Fuck!" He cursed as he put on some clothes. "Are you alright (Y/N)? You would usually laugh when that happens to Ice-Freak." Natsu asked as he looked at me. 'Wow, finally someone asked.' "Yeah, I'm fine. I just don't believe in laughing anymore. I don't really believe in happy emotions anymore." I said calmly as I shrugged. Everyone looked at me surprised. "(Y/N).. But why?" Lucy asked. "That's none of your business. Plus i'm not ready to tell you guys yet." I said as I started walking back to the hotel.

(Natsu's POV)

"That's none of your business. Plus i'm not ready to tell you guys yet." (Y/N) said as she started walking back to the hotel. "She used to be all happy.. She used to smile and laugh at everything. I wondered what happened.." I said as we all started walking after her. "Must've been something big if it's caused her to not show any happy emotions anymore." Gray said. Erza nodded, "Don't bug her too much about it. It must be a sore subject for her."

Once we got back to the hotel and to our rooms, I changed as Lucy took a shower. When she got out, we went to bed. 'I miss the old (Y/N).. I should've never broken up with her.'

(Your POV)

Happy immediately fell asleep in my arms right as we stepped into our room. 'He's just like Alice..'. I laid him down on a soft chair and covered him up. I then kissed his forehead and changed into my sleepwear. I got into my bed and went to sleep.

~Dream Land~

I was fighting a monster when I heard Alice say something. "(Y/N), watch out! There's a monster behind you!" I heard her say. I turned around quickly, but not quickly enough. I saw the monster's fist hit something, but it wasn't me. It hit Alice. 'NO!' I thought. "Alice, no!" I screamed. I saw her land, hard on the ground. I turned towards the monster and killed it with one blow. I ran over to Alice and picked her up gently. I quickly put up a force field surrounding us, so no monsters could hit us. "Alice! Alice, can you hear me?!" I said. Alice slowly opened her eyes and coughed. "(Y-Y/N).." She stuttered out. "A-Alice, don't leave me! We made a promise to never leave each other!" I shouted as my eyes started to fill with tears. "I-I know and i'm s-sorry." Alice said as her eyes started to close slowly. "No! Alice, please don't leave me! Don't leave me alone! You're my best friend!" I shouted as tears started to roll down my cheeks. "(Y/N), don't cry.. Please.. I love... you.." Alice said as her eyes closed completely and her breathing stopped. "Alice?" I shook her. "Alice?! Alice!! Wake up, damn-it! Alice!!" I exclaimed as I started to full on cry. 'She's gone.. My best friend is gone..' I set her down and stood up slowly. I looked around with anger in my eyes. "It's all you guys fault! You're all gonna pay!" I exclaimed as the force field gave away. Dust started to flow around me from all of the magic energy that was building up. I killed the rest of the monsters with a single attack. I then made my way towards the monster that specifically killed Alice. "Rock Sword." I said as I stood on-top of the already dead monster. "It's all your fault! You killed Alice!" I shouted as my eyes turned red. I started stabbing the monster repeatedly. After a few hundred stabs I got off of the monster and fell to my knees. "I-It's my fault too.. If only I turned around faster, I could've saved her.. But I didn't and now she's dead.. And it's all my fault." I stood up and walked towards Alice's body. I picked her up gently and walked to a nearby Cherry Blossom Tree. 'I'm sorry Alice.' I used my magic to dig a hole, then carefully placed her in it. I started crying again as I used my magic to cover her in dirt. I then noticed that I had an audience, but I paid no attention to them. "Surround this grave with: Roses and Tulips." I chanted as roses and tulips surrounded Alice's grave. I wiped my eyes, turned around and left the town. As I left, I quickly put a barrier to make sure no one or nothing interfered with her grave. 'I will never show any happiness. Not anymore. Alice was my only reason to be happy, but now she's gone and so is my happiness.
