Team Natsu and I were just coming back from a really easy job. As we sat down at our table, Erza gave us our share of the reward. I looked around and didn't see Zach. 'He must be home..' "Hey (Y/N)," Gray said. I looked at him, "Hm?". "When is your birthday and when is Zach's?" He asked. "Zach's birthday is January 11." I said, not saying my birthday. "Isn't that next week?" Erza asked. I nodded, "He's turning 14.". "When is yours?" Natsu asked. I gave them all a bored look, "Not saying.". They all whined. "But why?" Wendy asked. I shrugged, "I don't really care about my birthday. I don't celebrate it. I only know my birthday so I know who old I am.". "But (Y/N).." Lucy whined. "I said no and that's final. I don't want to talk about it, it's not important so stop talking about it." I said as everyone nodded rapidly. "Anyways.. We should plan a surprise birthday party for Zach." Wendy said. I nodded, "Yeah, I think he'll like that.". "Alright! Let's start planning!" Natsu exclaimed. Since I was Zach's mom, I was supposed to give everyone a task. And by everyone I mean everyone. I stood on top of the table and assigned everyone in the guild a task. Levy, Lucy, Mira, Wendy and Lisanna were in charge of decorating the guild. Natsu, Happy, Gray, Gajeel and Elfman were in charge of picking out the food. Erza and Master were in charge of making sure that everyone was doing their job. Everyone else in the guild were to think of party games and helping out anyone who needed help. Me? I was in charge of keeping Zach away from the guild until they were ready. But we have plenty of time, his birthday is next week.

After I assigned everyone their tasks for next week, I left the guild with Natsu. We were going to the store to buy food and a gift for Zach for next week. "Can I eat dinner at your place? Happy is with Wendy and Carla." Natsu asked me with hopeful eyes. I sighed and grabbed some (Favorite Food). "Yeah, just don't eat all of the food. You've got to save some for Zach and I." I said as Natsu grinned. "Thanks!" He said as he kissed the top of my head. I blushed and punched his shoulder, "Weirdo. We're not even dating.". Natsu chuckled, "Not yet..!". I blushed more and went to the "Wizard" aisle, which contained things like potions, spell books, bracelets that enhanced your magic, etc. "why are we here?" Natsu asked. "For Zach's gift. Here, hold this." I said as I gave him the shopping basket full of food. I looked around until I saw it. "Aha! There it is!" I said happily. I grabbed the necklace and held it in front of Natsu. "What's that?" He asked. "It's a necklace that enhances Fire magic. Zach has a bracelet like this, but he also wanted the necklace." I said as I put it in the shopping basket. "Oh. Then I'll get him this." Natsu said as he grabbed a dark green cloak. I nodded and we headed towards the cashier.

After we paid, we headed to my house. Natsu was holding all of the bags so I could open the door. I opened the door, stepped in and let Natsu step in after me. As I closed the door, he placed the stuff on the table in the dining room. I sniffed the air and tensed up," Natsu.. Do you smell that?". Natsu sniffed the air, "I don't smell anything. I only smell you.". "Exactly. You can only smell me. I can't smell Zach..!" I said as I ran up the stairs. I heard Natsu run after me. I opened Zach's door. Empty. I grabbed my head. "Where is he? Where is he?! He's never done anything like this!" I shouted as I ran around his room, checking everywhere. "(Y/N), look." I heard Natsu say. I turned around immediately and saw that there was a note. I ran up to Natsu and grabbed it out of his hand and read it.
I paled and started shaking. "(Y/N), what does it say..?!" Natsu asked nervously.

"Zach left."
