Chapter 43

(3rd PoV)
"What do you mean he left?!" Natsu exclaimed. (Y/N) handed Natsu the note, "Just read it.. He left!". Natsu took the note and read it. Dear mom, I'm sorry for doing this.. But I'm leaving. I'm sorry, but I can't tell you why. I'll come back, but I'm not sure when. It could be years. Like what we did. I love you and I'll miss you. - Zach. After reading it, Natsu looked with at (Y/N). "(Y/N).." He began to say. (Y/N) shook harder and buried her face in her hands.

"He's left.. Zach left..!" (Y/N) cried.

(Your PoV)
I was shaking really hard when I felt Natsu hug me. I then buried my face in his chest and started to cry more. He rubbed my back soothingly but that just made me cry harder. "It's going to be okay (Y/N).. We can go check the guild to see if he stopped by there before leaving." Natsu said. I nodded and broke the hug. Natsu and I left my house as I wiped my face.

We soon arrived at the guild doors. I punched them open and stood in the entry way. Everyone was watching me. "Has anyone seen Zach..?!" I asked loudly. Everyone shook their head and I looked at the ground. I felt Natsu put his hands on my shoulders. He then pushed me towards the Team Natsu table. He sat me down and he sat down next to me. "(Y/N), what's wrong?" Wendy asked. I looked at them and took a deep breath, "Zach left.". They gasped. "What do you mean he left..?!" Happy and Gray asked in unison. I nudged Natsu and put my head on his shoulder. "He left a note saying that he had to leave. But he also said that he couldn't tell us why." Natsu said. "I'm so sorry (Y/N).." Wendy said. Everyone else nodded, "We're all sorry.." Erza said. I shrugged, "It was his choice. I'm not happy with it, but I'll live with it. I must've not been a good mom to him..". "Don't say that (Y/N)..! You're a great mom. I'm sure that he left for some other reason." Happy said. I groaned, "Is that supposed to make me feel better? Because it's not helping." I said with a deadly tone. Happy nodded quickly and apologized.

(Zach's Birthday)
I woke up slowly and stretched. 'It's Zach's birthday today..' I stood up and went to the bathroom to take a shower. After I took a shower, I changed into a pair of shorts and a plain (Favorite Color) T-Shirt. I slipped on my (Favorite Shoes) and went to my drawer. I took out Zach's wrapped gift and walked out of my room. I walked into his room and took a deep breath. I set his gift down on his bed and started to clean his room, since it was dirty. I noticed that most of his drawers were open, his closet door was open and that his overnight bag was missing. 'At least he took some clothes..' I sighed and continued to clean his room. I then heard a knock on the door. I activated my telepathy. 'Natsu, is that you at the door?' 'Yeah it's me.' 'Then come in, close the door when you do. I'm upstairs in Zach's room.' 'Okay.' I deactivated my telepathy after I heard him say that. With my dragon hearing, I heard him open and close the door then I heard him coming up the stairs. I fixed his bed as Natsu stepped in. "Hey." He said. "Hey." I said as took a step away from Zach's bed. "Cleaning?" Natsu asked as he looked around. I nodded, "Yeah, Zach left all of his drawers open and his overnight bag is missing. So i'm guessing that he packed some clothes.". Natsu nodded and walked towards me with something in his hands. "What's that?" I asked. "Oh! It's Zach's gift.." He said as he held it out to me. I gestured to the bed, "Just leave it on his bed.". Natsu nodded and did what I said. "Do you want to go to the guild? Everyone else is there." Natsu asked. I shook my head, "No, I'll just stay here.". Natsu patted my head, "Then I'll stay here with you. You shouldn't be alone on this day.". He then hugged me and held me. I wrapped my arms around him and rested my head on my chest.
