Chapter 40

(3rd PoV)
"Would you like to dance?" Natsu asked (Y/N). (Y/N) looked at him with a shocked face, then shook her head while blushing slightly. "U-Um.. No! No thanks!" (Y/N) said nervously and quickly as she ran off somewhere. Natsu had a confused look on his face, "That was weird..". "What's weird?" Zach said as he popped up from behind Natsu. "Your mom.. I asked her to dance and she ran off." Natsu said as he turned around and faced Zach. Zach laughed and looked up at Natsu, "My mom doesn't really know how to dance. She doesn't like dancing too.". "I was guessing that.." Natsu said as he scratched the back of his head. "You still like my mom, am I right?" Zach asked.

(Your PoV)
I was beside Erza on the second floor balcony looking over everyone. "(Y/N)." Erza said. I looked over at her as I leaned against the balcony, "Hm?". "When are you going to tell me the reason you slapped Natsu?" She asked with a curious look. 'Oh. I kinda forgot about that..' I sighed, "I guess right now since you asked.". Erza nodded with a slight smile. "I was just coming out of the shower when Natsu came into my room through the window. We were arguing about something and I said something I shouldn't have said and he said something he shouldn't have said. I ended up slapping him and kicking him out." I said with a stoic look. "What did you and Natsu say?" Erza asked. I looked over at Natsu, who was talking to Zach, "I said that whenever he went over to Lucy's house, that they practically have sex every time he goes there. I also said that he wouldn't have survived mating season without Lucy.". I glanced over at Erza who was giving me a disappointing look. ".. In response to that, he said that at least he had someone for mating season.. That was the last straw.. So I slapped him." I said as I faced Erza. She shook her head, "Both of you shouldn't have said what you said. Especially Natsu. You two dated two times and-". "You don't have to continue, I already know. I still kinda hate him for that but I still love him. Surprisingly." I said as Erza looked at me with an understanding face. "Okay, now that you've told me that, let's go. Peyton is about to make a speech then the party will be over." Erza said as I nodded. As if on cue, Peyton started to speak, "Would the Fairy Tail wizards all come here please? I'm going to make an announcement and I want all of you here with me!" Peyton said. I looked at Erza and gave her a look that she hated to see. "No! Don't you dare do what you're about to do! There are people down there!" Erza said as she rapidly shook her head. I smirked and stood on the balcony, "Relax, I'm not going to hurt them. Plus, this is a faster way than going down the stairs. See you at the bottom!" I said.

I then jumped off the balcony.

(Natsu's PoV)
After Peyton called for us, Zach and I started walking but then Zach stopped. I stopped too, "Why did you stop walking?". "Look." Zach said as he pointed at the balcony. On the balcony was (Y/N). She was standing on the bar and talking to Erza. 'She's going to jump off. Eh, she'll be alright.' "My mom likes jumping off of high places if you haven't figured it out yet." Zach said as we both started walking again but while still watching (Y/N). I saw her smirk then turn away from Erza.

She jumped.

(Y/N) then landed right next to Peyton who was fangirling. All of us just got next to Peyton just as (Y/N) landed. The whole crowd was awestruck for a moment, but then clapped. They stopped clapping when Peyton cleared her throat. "Thank you (Y/N) for that amazing entrance! But now for the announcement that I wanted to make. As you all can see, these people here are all wizards from Fairy Tail. They are the reason that no trouble had been cause tonight! Please give them a round of applause!" Peyton said happily. Everyone around us clapped. I grinned, so did everyone else. Besides (Y/N). 'I haven't seen her smile ever since her and Zach came back... Even when they were Liz and Kyle..' The clapping died down again. "As you can all see, it's beginning to get late so the party has to come to an end.." Peyton said sadly. Everyone 'awed' sadly, but Peyton spoke. "Don't be sad, my birthday has been marvelous because if everyone here! Thank you all for coming and goodnight!" She said as everyone cheered and started to leave.

(Your PoV)
After everyone left, Elena came up to us. "Thank you for keeping my daughters birthday safe. Here's your reward." She said as she handed us our reward. We all left and went to the hotel. Erza gave us our share of the jewels and we all headed to our rooms, exhausted. When Zach and I stepped in our room, the first thing Zach did was face-plant into his bed. I rolled my eyes playfully, "Zach, just go take a quick shower then you can go to sleep.". "But mommmmm.." He groaned. "Now. I'm too tired to argue with you." I said sternly. Zach got up slowly, grabbed his clothes and went to the bathroom. I was quickly changed into my sleep clothes and was about to head to bed when I heard a knock at the door. 'I bet that's Natsu.' I sighed and walked to the door. When I opened the door, my eyed widened when I saw who it was.
