HER shoulders tensed involuntarily at the unexpected physical contact, [e/c] hues shifting over to blue, down-turned eyes. tsubaki gave her shoulder a gentle, firm squeeze, soothing the hashira.
she seemed confused for a moment, eyes holding a questioning gaze about why she was being soothed too. instead of receiving an answer, he gracefully thanked the female for stepping in.
"thank you for helping, [name]." he offered a smile, soft and genuine.
"..don't worry about it." she nodded her head in affirmation. her presence was strong, she held herself up high.
now, tsubaki could fully understand why [lastname] [name] was portrayed as the 'savior' amongst bofurin.
"it's the least I can do, especially after I involve myself in it." he grins at her answer. he really adored her.
"still," he removed his hand from her shoulder, arm dropping back in place next to his side. "you helped us out, it's more than we can ask for. you stopped her from doing something reckless. you even saved her life. now, I can see why you are deeply valued within bofurin, to have a fan club."
. . .
"...huh?" [name] deadpans. "I have.. a fan club?" she echoes slowly, eyes dully staring at tsubaki in confusion.
noticing her dumbfounded expression, he couldn't help but chuckle in the moment. "you didn't know? ah, maybe it's not my place to tell you, but you'll figure it out girl."
"oh." [name] faintly mumbles dumbly. being so buddy-buddy with others is hard, they always leave her out of things like these.
...she'd rather have people go straightforward with her.
"it doesn't matter to me." [name] shrugs slightly, "fan club or not.. I don't get the meaning of it that much." the light hashira was currently unaware of how many furin members existed within the fan club.
but she couldn't help but notice in the corner of her eye, three certain first years tensed up at the discreet mention. 'this wasn't the right time to bring it up!' nirei sweatdropped, a bead of sweat rolling down his temples. he was the most guilty of it all. whether he was present or not present.
"aaah... sheesh."
tsubaki's eyes dimmed, his expression dropping at the voice.
suzuri's voice cut through, sharp and annoyed, yet his expression was emotionless. "I dunno who you people are.. but you just keep coming and swooping in from nowhere."
"first it was the demon slayer and now it's you. you all keep interrupting, it's so mean." he tilts his head, eyes dull. impatient. he just wanted to get this over with, but all he got was more who couldn't stick their noses out of his business.
