[NAME] was confused. she didn't understand anything, yet could only grasp the reason why she was here is because she's involved, one way or another. but she doesn't know what, and in order for her to speculate the answer, she'll have to listen bit by bit to determine her sole reason to be in this meeting.
she is the special guest—holding a special role in the meeting. she was here for a reason.
"nirei," umemiya called, grabbing his attention.
"y-yeah?!" nirei answered quickly, straightening his back.
"if you don't mind.." umemiya began, "how much do you know about bofurin?" his eyes stared ahead, almost boring into nirei's brown eyes as he blinked, physically and mentally taking a deep breath. this was going to be quite a ride.
"two years ago, on april 7th..." nirei began, hooking in the interest of his grade captain and the light hashira. "five students who shared the same aspirations were enrolled in the infamous delinquent school, furin high.
at the time, furin was a dog-eat-dog school. students broke into fractions and fought for the top. the students would also fight with others schools and teams... it was the epitome of chaos.
but when those five students entered the school, they challenged every major factions that existed within furin— and one by one, they squashed every last group."
[name] squinted her eyes at nirei's actions, trying to match the narrative he described. "they punched, they kicked, they punched, they kicked..." he repeated, beginning to stray from the story and overexaggerating the details. "and like a raging wave, they smashed their way to the top of furin!" he described, flailing his arms around for emphasis.
"second years? yeah right. third years? piece of cake! no one could stop them!" he declared with confidence, narrating his story through gestures. sakura stared at nirei dumbfoundedly, beginning to doubt with whatever he was doing...
[name] had a similar expression, having a hard time to focus when the narrator was distracting her attention elsewhere. the others, however, were attentive despite his overexaggerating gestures. to them, they enjoyed his storytelling.
"they turned and defeated their enemies into allies and spread their influence throughout the school. the fights that were once a constant presence began to fade. and after just one year..." he paused, "they created a miracle that no one was able to do before and united all of furin as one.
then... the students, who made this reality possible decided to protect the town together under the name bofurin." the male let out a sigh, concluding the end of his knowledge about bofurin's come-to-be story. "that's it. that's how this volume of bofurin's history came to an end." he finished, placing a palm to his chest.
