Chapter 2

CHELSEA POV

"Hey guys" I say walking up to them today was the choosing ceremony

"Hey you okay we didn't see you after Eric dragged you off yesterday" Raymond asked

"I'm fine" I shrug he raises an eyebrow

"What no punishment" Sarah asks I shake my head no

"I just had to apologize which is a punishment in itself then my dad said I can't drink so I went home" I explain they all nod "what" I ask

"It's just Eric seems to be everywhere you go today watching you like a lion about to pounce on its prey" Jack says

"I hadn't realized he might just be pissed that I didn't get a punishment" I say shrugging it off

"Okay whatever you say anyway here comes the train" Uriah says going to run alongside the train with the others while I just run at it and jump on in my usual fashion we ride to the choosing ceremony and sit down I zone out until I hear a familiar name

"Rachel Garcia" she gets up and makes her way to the bowls she cuts her palm

"Erudite" the voice booms I stare eyes wide she transferred

"Raymond Smith" he walks confidently and cuts his palm

"Dauntless" the voice booms we all cheer as he comes and sits back down

"Jack Savage" he stands and walks casually he cuts his palm

"Dauntless" he comes and sits back down us all cheering

"Chelsea Peterson" I stand up and walk to the front dauntless chant my name as I walk I cut my palm and hold it over dauntless my blood drops

"Dauntless" they all cheer I take a bow and walk back to my seat

"Sarah Miller" she walks to the front and cuts her palm

"Candor" I watch her walk to her new faction and shake my head

"Uriah Pedrad" he smirks before walking up and cutting his palm

"Dauntless" I smile as he walks back Rick also stays in dauntless I zone out for the rest of the ceremony once it ends we all run out to the train tracks with transfers close behind we climb up

"I will never understand how you could leave this" I say to Raymond

"Me neither" he responds before the train comes everyone runs alongside it I jump straight at it when everyone's on the transfers stare at me I shrug it off and lean against the doorframe of the train I see the roof coming up

"GET READY" I shout before jumping onto the roof And walking to my dad and Eric

"Aw you didn't transfer" my dad jokes I stick my tongue out

"Your stuck with me" I smirk by now everyone had now joined us

"Im Max and this is Eric we are two of your leaders" my dad says to the transfers because dauntless born know who they are unless there retarded or some shit like that

"To get into dauntless you have to jump of this ledge if you don't have the guts to jump you don't belong in dauntless" Eric explains

"Do you think I'd get in trouble if I pushed Eric of the ledge" Raymond whispers to me I try not to laugh but fail

"Sorry initiate did I say something funny" Eric snaps

"Yeah the fact I lost my name after choosing dauntless" I reply everyone stares wide eyed

"Exactly you chose dauntless not Candor so shut your mouth" Eric snaps

"Candor tells the truth and I didn't reply truthfully to your question so that statement doesn't really work" I state you could see Eric growing angry my dad was desperately trying not to laugh at the fact he had raised me to stick up for myself and I was now back chatting a ruthless dauntless leader

"Max can you get your daughter under control" Eric says

"I think you've met your match Eric" a dauntless born shouts

"You've taught her well Max but not well enough" there's an evil glint in his eye "imagine what your mum would think her little soldier drinking underage she would be so disappointed" he smirks my heart breaks I have to force back tears

"YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MY MOTHER SO SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH AND TAKE A HIKE" I shout staying strong "your the one that abandoned your family not me" I reply walking up to the ledge and jumping off I land on the net and I'm pulled off by Four

"Why the hell is it taking so long" Four asks

"Me and Eric started arguing" I shrug he nods

"You keeping your name" he asks

"Yep" I reply

"FIRST JUMPER CHELSEA"
