Ellia spent most of her days during September and October hidden away in Gryffindor's common room, unless she had lessons. To her, it still didn't feel like it was right being at Hogwarts, and she constantly felt alone. Her true friends, Aurora, Fred, George and Panemia weren't writing to her either, although it could just be because she hadn't written to them first. Sitting up from the desk she had been studying at, Ellia grabbed her robe before wrapping it around her body, finally leaving the Common Room. She had a free period, in fact she had plenty of them. But most of the time she spent them studying for Transfiguration or Potions. The corridors were bleak and quiet, and anybody who passed Ellia would quickly shuffle past. Most people nowadays judged her, after all, she was Snape's daughter. They didn't dare speak to her, they were always too scared. It seemed that Ginny, Luna, Neville and Lavender were the only ones who weren't. As soon as she reached the Owls, Ace flew into her shoulder with a letter tucked between his beak. Taking hold of the letter, she saw two more owls hand her letters. Settling down, she opened the first letter.

Dear Ellia,

I sound so posh writing this. We, me and Fred, have been forced into hiding due to my own blood status. It's awful. Fred didn't have to drag along but he did, he insisted that he kept me and Marley safe. I am lucky to have him, he is my everything.

As for hiding, I can't yet tell you my location due to the fact that I'm constantly on the move, but I shall see you soon. I can assure you of it. A Hogsmead trip maybe? I don't know.

How is Hogwarts? I'm taking it you feel extremely alone because you haven't made one attempt of contacting me, and poor Ace had been following me everywhere like a sullen fish. You haven't seen him, have you? Your father. I'm hoping you haven't because knowing you, you would knock him unconscious. The git.

I should really leave you alone now, although I hate myself for it. Please stay out of trouble and stay safe. Fred says hi.

Also, please look out for Echo. I haven't seen her in a while and her blood status puts her at a risk, but please keep her safe. Thanks,

Aurora Grace

Ellia folded the letter, smiling at Aurora's neat handwriting. She was happy to know her best friend was safe, yet in hiding. And her cousin had the same blood status as her, so poor Echo would be in danger too. Taking the second letter, she opened it to reveal neat handwriting.

To Ellia,

It's dangerous, me writing you this. The Dark Lord sees you as a threat like Harry Potter, he wants to hurt you. I can't protect you, unfortunately. And it seems Hogwarts cannot protect you either. I'm sorry Ellia. For everything. I shouldn't have betrayed Dumbledore, but he threatened to kill us. You and me. I wouldn't have minded if it was just me, although I'm a bit of a coward, but I didn't want him to hurt you. But I see he's doing that already. Just stay safe and please do not come back to the manor, I wouldn't want you to get hurt.

I love you

Draco x

A tear dropped onto the second letter, smudging the ink. He wanted to protect her even though he upset her. She just missed him so much. She missed them all. She wanted to be wrapped up in her boyfriends loving arms but instead she had nobody. The third letter had a few ink splashes, and it was more scruffier than the rest.

Ellia Snape,

I do sometimes wish that wasn't your surname.

Unfortunately it is.

My goddaughter, you have to stay away from the Malfoy Manor, and do not leave Hogwarts. You are in more danger here with me or the Wealseys or anybody else, than you are inside those walls. My mission is to keep you, and Tonks, safe.
