Chapter 10

We never really got to speak while we where in the car or more he wouldn't speak to me. I kept asking questions but Asher would just give me the cold shoulder with a worried side glance that made the questions in my head busier. After a good five minutes of firing random question with no answers I finally gave up and couldn't help but slouch in my seat. I was totally filled with frustration. My fingers twitched to just freeze his hands to the steering wheel.

Now sitting in my room with the covers lazily wrapped around my body I feel a slow warm ache build in my stomach. Almost like the desire for something, the hunger.

Rolling onto my side with a pillow tucked under my head I listen for the signs of life only to hear the soft tap of Madison dogs nails upstairs. A loud sigh blows a strand of hair out into the air and away from my face as I wrap myself up into a cocoon of blankets. The warmth so very inviting.

"Wake up you cow."

I slowly peel my eyes open to find Madison standing in the middle of my room with a scowl on her face. Long fake lashes glued to her eyelids.

"Why are you stilling wearing your cloths? That's totally gross!" She whines as I pull myself from the warm embrace of my bed. The blankets pooling around my waist.

"What?" I growl.

"It's almost like 11 on Saturday and I need you to drive me somewhere." Her squeaky voice making my ears want to bleed like full on gushing.

"Mom said she'd pay you 20 bucks."

"Why can't she just take you herself?"

Madison stomps her feet and turns around in a little circle before letting out a long and over exaggerated sigh to top it all off. An extra eye roll to top it off. Her hands in tight fists.

"She's has to work today." I can't help but raise my eyebrows.

"Didn't realize she even worked." Prostitution?

"Well she does, can you take me?"

"20?" I deadpan, Madison growls under breath before handing me a brand new twenty dollar bill.

With a smile I slip it into my purse.

"Let me get dressed first." She almost screams in frustration before slamming the door behind her. The sound of her pounding feet as they descend down the hallway slowly lifts a smile onto my face as I slip on cloths. Clutching my key between my fingers I walk into the hall with a fresh twenty in my purse and a fresh bra.

"Come one." I yell, I pop the door open just as Madison comes out from the kitchen with her Coach bag slung over her shoulder. A cheesy grin plastered on her face as she quickly types away on her new phone.

The chilly air slaps me me the face as the devil hisses through her teeth.

"Your going out in that." Her voice echo from behind me, a whine that could burst my ear drums.

"Yes, what's the problem?" Her vibrant blue eyes so unlike my own brown ones slowly start at my toes and end on my face as a ugly scowl lays upon her face. I can't help but roll my eyes at her attitude.

"Nothing." She says as she quickly bounds to the car but I don't miss the scowl that she directs at my beauty.

The drive filled with a heavy uncontrollable tension that seemed to sit between us like a heavy brick. The pink lipstick on her lips brighter then freshly fallen snow. A weird smile on her face that I just couldn't stop looking over at as she flips quickly from station from station. Her nails tap against the screen.
