Chapter 4

Driving home I could almost hear Madison annoying little voice screaming down the stair about how her new friends got to go to Hawaii and why she didn't get to go.

She makes me cringe.

Everything about my bland family makes me cringe. There voice how they interact with people or even how they breath.

All cringe worthy with a little spoiled Madison onto win a fake smile plastered on her face.

I sigh and look at the frosty road in front of me. I feel alone just like those broken thrown away rejected toys. Would anyone care if I vanished.

I couldn't think of a reason why anyone would care.

One single tear escapes my eye and slides down my pale skin I quickly whip it away. I don't cry I'm a black hole, right?

A emotionless black hole filled with nothing but the inky black of my heart.

Pulling up next to my house I slip out of the car and realize the lights are out in the house.

Running my hand through my hair I walk up to path to the little cream house and unlock the door shutting it behind me as I walk in.

I stroll into the kitchen and throw my school bag on the table and sit on one of the slightly broken chairs. It reminds me of myself. Slightly broken.

I lay my head on the table and listen to the soft whistle of the wind hitting the glass of the sliding screen door.

Finishing my homework and the house still being completely empty I pick up my backpack and all my books and walk to my room.

I open the door to my small little haven.

The one place that I can call mine. No Madison, no school, and defiantly not my parents.

I pull out a notebook and tear out a page with a black and white drawing on it and pin it to my wall with the others.

Sitting down on my bed I let everything filter through my brain before laying my head on my dirty pillow.

I let the blackness of my mind fill my thought till there is nothing left but the shattered pieces of my hope scattered across the plain of uselessness.

I get up off my bed and walk through the dark hall looking like a zombie. I open up the sliding screen door and walk out and feel the bitter cold bite at my exposed skin.

I close the door behind me and but on my boots and my jacket taking a small sprint toward the woods to my other secret haven. The one that has not been found.

Unlike my room.

Feeling the cold nip at my cheeks I angrily lash out and make a ice dagger with my power and plunge it into a tree.

I let out a loud scream of rage and slam my fist into the enormous pine tree. "Damn you all!" I stomp my foot into the fresh power and run to the lake.

Breaking through the tree line I read the lake and sit down on a stump that I placed right next to the bank.

My breath comes out in heavy puffs and little clouds come out of my mouth of turn into mist before my eyes.

Running my fingers across the water I feel the static energy buzz through fingers and up my arms.

The feeling makes me happy almost giddy.

I slowly freeze the water under my finger tips then unfreeze it in a few simple step. I just watch the water move around in little circles.

It makes me super happy to watch the water to as I please. The only thing that will listen to me.
