'George' Hermione said with a small smile. 'How are you?' He looked down at her, the smile on his lips was feeble. She didn't really blame him. Hermione responded to his silence. 'Do you want to go for a walk or something? We could go to Hogsmeade.'
'Sure' He replied glumly.
As they left the house, Hermione gained a surprised look from Mrs Weasley. She mouthed the words 'we won't be long' to her, and Mrs Weasley nodded.
They left the house and walked for a while in silence, to no where in particular, until George finally spoke.
'It's nice to see you Hermione.'
'You too George.' Hermione smiled.
George and Hermione simultaneously took out their wands and disapparated to Hogsmeade. After wandering around, they ended up sitting on a bench.
'So what have I missed?' George asked.
Hermione caught him up on everything that had been happening at Hogwarts, which really, wasn't much at all. She told him all about the hearing and Draco's father.
'Wait. Why were you at the hearing?'
Hermione quickly realised that she hadn't told him anything about Draco.
'Oh umm..'
'With a Slitherin?!' George exclaimed, smirking, and nudging her repeatedly.
'No!' She exclaimed, embarrassed. 'Nothing like that! We just kissed.'
'Well well.. Hermione Granger... Who knew she had it in her?'
She responded by punching him lightly in the arm. They both burst into an uncontrollable fit of laughter. When they calmed down, George looked at Hermione with an almost serious, expression.
'Thanks.' George said, looking down at Hermione.
'For what?' She replied, looking genuinely surprised.
'For the intervention. I Needed it.'
'You're welcome. We should probably head back now. Your mum will be wondering where we are.'
As she spoke, she noticed a man wearing a black cloak staring at her. He wasn't far away, but far enough to keep his distance. Strange. She thought.
