Hermione awoke the next morning to the sound of Draco's snoring in her ear. Momentarily confused, she opened her eyes and realised that they had fallen asleep on the sofa. Draco lay behind her with one of his arms draped across her waist, holding her close to him while they slept. She gently grabbed his arm and pulled it from around her, so she could sit up on the edge of the sofa, without waking Draco.

'Good morning.' Draco suddenly said, making Hermione jump off of the sofa. She fell to the floor, making a loud noise.

'I thought you were asleep!' Hermione blushed as Draco laughed at her.

'I was until somebody woke me up.' He pretended to be annoyed at her, but couldn't keep a straight face for long. Hermione joined in the laughter.

'We are missing breakfast. Class starts soon.' With that statement, she got up and walked to her bedroom, where she got changed for school. Several minutes later, when she came back out again, Draco was already dressed and ready to go.

'That was quick.' Hermione noted, and they left for class. It seemed to be that they were in most, if not all of each others classes. They walked together to potions.

Professor Slughorn greeted them with a nod as they walked into the class and took their seats, before he began to speak.

'Quiet.' He said, patiently.

'Today, you will each brew a volubilis potion. For those of you who haven't heard of such a thing, this potion has the ability to alter the drinkers voice. It can also be used to restore their voice if they have lost it, and thus will end the affects of a silencing charm. You will brew this potion in pairs and if you are successful, you shall test the potion on each other. You may begin.'

As soon as the professor stopped speaking, Hermione turned to Draco, almost excitedly. He shook his head, amused, as he got up and went to the front of the classroom to gather the necessary ingredients. He looked down at the list in his hand.

Taking only what he needed, he headed back over to where Hermione was sitting in front of a table. He stepped back in surprise as she took the ingredients from his hands and began to brew the potion. He watched as the concoction turned from red to green, and then after adding the honey water, to pink then orange. The mint sprigs changed the colour to green and when heated the mixture became blue. Draco was almost memorized as the colours changed one by one after each ingredient was added, until finally, the colour changed to yellow and sparks began to fly from the potion.

'Well done Miss Granger!' Mr Slughorn cheered as he walked passed their table. 'I thought this may not be a challenge for you. If only everybody was so ahead in the curriculum.' Looking around the room, the could tell that this was not the case. Chaos seemed to have been unleashed around the classroom.

Hermione looked up at Draco with a wiked frin on her face as she took out her wand.

'Silencio!' She shouted, earning the attention of everyone in the class. The Slytherin house wailed with laughter at the sight of Draco's shock as her turned silent. He scowled at Hermione as he drank from the potion that she has brewed, yet her smile never faltered.
