Chapter 14 - Never Have I Ever

Hermione's POV

Hermione was relieved to see Draco emerge where Blaise had been standing. Blaise jumped up off of the floor, but before he could do anything, Draco punched him in the face. He stumbled backwards, blood pouring from his crooked nose, which was clearly broken.

'Touch her again and I swear I will kill you Blaise.' Draco said angrily.

Hermione stood there silently, in complete shock. As Blaise winced in pain, Draco grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the common room.

When they were inside he turned to her. 'Are you all right?' He asked, looking into her eyes.

'Yes. I'm fine. Thank you.'

He raised his hand and cupped her face to only drop his hand a moment later and look away. She blushed furiously.

'You know.' She said randomly. 'I just realised something.'

Draco stared at her like she was crazy. 'Realised what?' He asked.

'That we hardly know each other. Obviously apart from all of the bad things and what I have heard from other people.'

'What have you heard?' He asked curiously.

'That isn't my point! We should get to know each other. I have an idea!'

'What kind of idea?' He asked. He had a feeling that he wasn't going to agree with her 'clever idea'.

'We should play a game.' She thought for a moment as Draco stared at her dumb founded. 'It would be a good way to get to know each other.' She stated.

'Fine. But I'm only doing this on one condition.' He smirked.

'What condition?' She looked weary.

'It has to be never have I ever.'

'No. That is a drinking game! I can't drink! We have lessons tomorrow!' Hermione would never have even contemplated drinking. That is... until she met Draco.

'Then I guess you will just have to be friends with a complete stranger.' He shrugged his shoulders.

'Ugh! Fine! But where do you suppose you are going to get alcohol from?'

Draco smirked, knowing he had won, and walked over to a cabinet across the room. Opening it, Draco pulled out a bottle of fire whisky and two shot glasses. 'I smuggled these in at the start of term.' He stated.

'Okay. If we are going to do this, we are doing it properly.' She stood up and cast a truth spell on the room. 'This way, none of us can cheat.'

They both sat opposite each other on the floor of the common room.

'I'll go first.' Draco said, smirking. 'Never have I ever drank a Polyjuice potion.'

Hermione poured her shot and took it. She almost vomited. Draco laughed at her contorted facial expression.

'When?' He asked.

'Well...' Hermione thought of the time that she accidently turned herself into a cat and immediately decided against sharing that story. 'I used it to become Bellatrix Lestrange to then break into her vault at Gringotts to steal a horcrux that Voldemort had hidden there.'

'You what? How in hell did you pull that off? You and Bellatrix are nothing alike!' He looked at her surprised and almost impressed.

'Well apparently the line 'Good Morning' almost gave us away.' She blushed as Draco burst into uncontrollable laughter. She waited for him to stop, laughing herself, and continued. 'My turn. Never have I ever been in the Slytherin common room.'

Draco drank. 'Never have I ever kissed a guy that is not Ron Weasley.'

Hermione drank.

'Who?' Draco asked.

'Viktor Krum...' She said and blushed. 'Never have I ever killed anyone.' She said and took a shot along with him.

The game continued for what felt like hours and both of them were rather drunk at that point.

'Never have I ever slept with anyone.' Hermione said and watched, not at all surprised, as Draco took a shot. 'Pansy?' He nodded.

'Never have I ever wanted to kiss Draco Malfoy.' Draco stated, his eyes struggled to focus on one spot. Hermione laughed as the room spun.

'Busted!' She shouted as she took a shot. 'Never have I ever wanted to kiss Hermione... Granger!' She exclaimed after remembering her last name.

Draco laughed along with her as he took a shot. 'Never have I ever... Ooops!'

'What?!'

'We drank the whole bottle.'

'Oh well! I have another brilliant idea!' She said as she looked out the window, seeing it was dark outside. 'Let's play hide and seek in the dark! I'll go hide and you come find me in ten seconds.'

Hermione sprinted to the bathroom and jumped into the bath, pulling the shower curtain across and hiding her face behind her hands. Seconds later, Draco burst through the door.

'I heard you come in here! I know you're here somewhere!'

Hermione giggled and Draco pulled back the shower curtain. 'I found you!' He shouted, happy with himself. She got up and stumbled into him, pulling the shower curtain down and falling on top of him. She rolled over onto the floor next to him.

'I'm tired. Let's go to sleep.' She said as she fell into a blissful, deep sleep.
