Hermione's POV

After dinner, Ginny half-dragged Hermione outside. They stopped at the front of the castle and Ginny spun around to face Hermione, who was staring at her friend blankly.

'Well?' Ginny pressed. 'What happened?' Her expression was that of an excited puppy as she waited for her reply.

'To be perfectly honest, I have no idea.' She looked down at her fingers, which she was twisting together.

Ginny knew that her interrogation wasn't helping and so she decided to take a new approach.

'I have an idea' She said. 'Why don't we go down to the Three Broomsticks and talk about something else?' This made Hermione smile.

'Anything else.' She agreed.

They sat at a table in the Three Broomsticks, ordered some butter beer and talked for hours about nothing in particular. Draco didn't come up in conversation at all.

'George came back home' Ginny suddenly said, surprising Hermione with the sudden change of conversation. 'He won't talk to anyone.'

'What do you mean?' Hermione asked.

'I mean, he never leaves his room. He won't talk to anybody, mum's really worried. So am I. She told me not to tell Ron because he still blames himself for Fred's..' She cut off her sentence.

A lone tear rolled down her cheek as she spoke of her brother. Hermione got up and hugged her lightly.

'He just needs some more time' She said comfortingly. 'They were so close.' Ginny was now sobbing into Hermione's shoulder.

'I miss him so much.' She whimpered.

'I know. Come on. Let's go back.'

Hermione walked Ginny back to the Gryffindor common room and left when she told her that she 'needed some time alone.'

Hermione knew exactly where she as going next. Straight to the Weasley house.
