The anger that flooded through Hermione's veins was overpowering. He could have at least stuck around to hear what she had to say. But no, he had to do what he always has done and run away. Coward. She thought. So many things were going through her mind. Pausing for a moment, she processed everything and her anger took over. Hermione took out her wand and half ran towards Draco's bedroom.
'Alohomora!' Hermione shouted and she heard the lock slide across again. She pushed open the door and stormed into his bedroom to find Draco with his back to her. He spun around.
'What are you doing?!' He shouted.
'Will you stop being a complete idiot and just stop talking so I can speak?! If you had given me more than half a second before storming off to your bedroom, then you would have heard me say that I feel the same! But you know what? It doesn't even matter!' She turned and opened the door.
Before she had a chance to leave, Draco pushed the door shut. She turned to look at him, her back against the door. She tried to move but her grabbed her hands and pinned them to the wall, either side of her head, with his. Draco stared into her eyes and it were almost as if he were looking into her soul. Their faces were so close that she could feel his soft breath against her cheek. She was breathing heavily, her heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest, until Draco finally closed the space between them.
'It matters to me.' He whispered against her lips before they met. She froze for a moment until she kissed him back, their lips moved together in a slow rhythm. Draco released her hands and she wrapped her arms around his neck as the kiss deepened. Hermione could faintly taste the sweetness of apples on his soft lips. It was as if her very existence was pointless until this moment.
It all ended too quickly when Draco pulled back for air. They were both breathing heavily and staring at each other. Hermione wished that that moment never had to end.
