It was performance night again and Coffee Joint and I decided to song one of my all time favorite songs.

I put the mic up by my mouth and spoke,"Hey Y'all, This is a song that is very true and and it's one of my favorites. This song is called Peter Pan by Kelsea Ballerini. Hope you enjoy."

I let the last strings of my guitar ring out and just sat there for a few moments. When the crowd started clapping I looked up, smiled then stood up and bowed. I looked out into the crowd and bowed. I started tearing up when I got a standing ovation. I looked in every direction when my heart sank and shattered into a million little pieces. Dom had his hands around Mercy Trevory, my arch enemy sense the second grade. Dom knows exactly how much I hate her. What in the world? I bet you ten to freaking one that it's to make me regret ever "Cheating" on him. It wasn't my fault at all. He is just being a child. I never once gave him a reason not to trust me. Whatever, I don't need him anymore. I have made a good enough reputation that I can stand on my own.

I rotated my guitar to my back and got off the stage. I didn't even bother to say hi to Dom, he knew exactly the situation he was bringing himself into.

I walked outside straight to my car. I unlocked it and was able to put my guitar in the back seat before someone came behind me. The shadow figure showed a muscular figure of a male.,"I don't want to talk to you D....." When I tured around I could see it wasn't Dom but Asher.

"I thought I made it clear that I don't want anything to do with you."

He blew out a big breath and ran his right hand through his hair,"Look Aislyn,I didn't mean for any of this to happen."

"Of course Ash you never mean for anything to happen."

I went to the other side of my car and unlocked my door.

"AISLYN!! Don't go please. Yes I have screwed up but can we get past this and at least friends. Remember the reason why I am here in the first place. I came here for you and your family and friends. TO protect you."

I rolled my tongue inside my mouth and patted my fingers onto the car hood,"I will think about it."

I got into my car, shut the door, started the engine and drove off.

When I got home my mom was int the kitchen making supper,"Hi honey. How was talent night. I bet you did great, you always do."

I smiled at my mom but I stilled remembered something that needed to be asked,"Mom, I have a question to ask you."

"Okay honey, what's your question?"

I took a deep breath in, "Am I adopted?"

She stopped in mid chop. She put the knife down and turned around,"Yes you are adopted. What made you want to ask that question?"

"I was just curious."

My mom opened up her mouth to say something but we heard my dad pull up,"Well, I don't think he could have had better timing."
