Fire And Gold

Chapter 1- 1 year previous

I was finishing putting my shirt on when my mom yelled up the stairs,"Asy, your friends are here."

"I am coming just let me grab my purse."

I grabbed my purse and headed out my bedroom door and hurried down the stairs. I walked over to my mom and dad and kissed them on the cheek,"Bye Mom and Dad. I will be back in a few hours."

They both came in for a big group hug when my mom spoke,"If any planes change remember text your father or I to let us know."

"Okay mom will do." I gave them both one last squeeze goodbye then went out the front door. My friends Jade, Jess, Alexis (Hates her real name so we call her Alex), Drake, Mark and my boyfriend and head quarterback for our high school team Dom.

There were two cars out there, because no one had a big enough vehicle for everyone to fit. I saw Dom's 2015 Midnight Chevy Silverado first. And let me tell you that truck is a beauty. Then behind him was Jess's Daytime Silverado. Jade and Alex were in Jess's truck while Drake and Mark were in Dom's truck.

Dom yelled from his truck,"Come on slow poke. Let's go." He started laughing when Mark joined in,"Ya come on. We got places to go and people to avoid." Everyone including me laughed at that last remark. I decided to ride with Jess and Ride with Dom on the way back to my house. 

I got in the back seat with Alex. "You ready for some summer fun before we have to deal with our last year in high School?"

"Heck Ya!" Dom started forward and we followed. Jess rolled down the windows and turned the music up high to make sure the boys heard and they did because they did the same thing. We started laughing till our stomachs hurt and then some. This is very regular when we hang out. Care free air and nothing but good ole' fun. 

We decided to go to the beach today. It was 92 degrees here in Fort Myers, Florida and perfect water temperature. When we got to the beach we got out and started unloading everything then headed out to the sand. We set down a blanket to protect us from the hot sand. We all stripped down to our swim suits then went out to the water. I was lying on my back in my float when I feel a hand on my arm. I didn't even finish moving the sun glasses when I was flipped over and fell into the salt water. When i surfaced water and wiped off my eyes I saw all my friends laughing. I spit water at them," that was mean." I did a fake pout then laughed with them. 

I felt Dom come up behind me and wrap his arms around me. "Should pay attention more babe." I swatted at his forearm and we all went back to laughing.

At one point we all decided to eat something. After we ate and tanned for a little bit we went back into the water to play some volleyball. When we were there for three hours we decided it was time to head out. We loaded everything into the trucks and I rode with Dom back to my house. He dropped off Mark and Drake then went to my house. 

I just was about to go out his truck door when he put his hand on my chin and moved my head in to kiss me sweetly on the lips,"I had a lot of fun today. Maybe we can just go so it's just you and I." I kissed him back," I love that idea, lets talk about it tonight." "Okay." He gave me one last kiss then I got out. I got to my front door opened it and shut it. I went to the huge kitchen window and waved at him. He blew a kiss and waved goodbye.

 Like I said, my life is care free. Great people are always around me. Nothing is going to change especially if i get a say in it.
