Chapter 12 Asher POV

I sat Aislyn down on my bed and covered her up to her shoulders. Goddess she is so beautiful. She looked so peaceful and relaxed. I kneeled in front of her. She looked so peaceful and breathtaking. I know I am acting like a creepy sparkling vampire but I can't help but look at her. She is everything to me and I would do anything for her. I wish she wouldn't be in danger right now.
"Asher there are rogues at the border. "
One of the pack warriors said through mind link
"I will be there as soon as I can"
I mind linked my mom next after I answered to the warrior
"Mom please do me a favor. They need help with rogues at the border, could you come over and watch Aislyn for me? "
My mom answered back without hesitation.
"Aislyn?! As in the girl who you so stupidly cheated on Aislyn? "
Really mom? Are we going to do this again.
"Yes mom, that Aislyn
How the heck did you get her to go to the house without murdering you? "
"Her best friend stole her boyfriend and she was heartbroken. So she allowed me to bring her here"
"Okay honey, if anything she might wake-up before you get back so I can talk to her. "
"MOM DO NOT DO THAT. IF YOU WAKE HER UP I SWEAR TO THE MOON GODDESS I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!"
"Asher Thomas Powral I will do as I please. As the only female in this family I get a say in everything. "
"Fine whatever I have to deal with rogues, take care of Aislyn please. "
"Of course I will take care of your mate honey."
I huffed out a breath. My mom was the only female. She had three sons with me being the oldest and my father. Four years ago when I was 15, I figured out that Aislyn was my mate, but I knew she didn't know she was a werewolf so this mate ordeal would freak her out.
The first time I smelt her on my 14th birthday, it was like a was sent to a place with raspberries and vanilla. I never wanted to stop smelling it so I got the courage to ask her out. Thank the moon goddess she said yes. Everything was going perfect, I even told my parents that I found my mate.
My mom was more than excited that she wouldn't be the only female anymore. After about a year of dating I found out from my father that him, my mother and I had to go help another wolf pack, the Lunar moon pack.
Their Alpha, Alpha Turner, was going through a traumatic time. His parents and sister were murdered by his mate. She used him till he fell madly in love with him then she went through the house that night and shot his mom, dad, and sister. As Alpha, Luna, and future Alpha we decided to go over and help him while our Beta, Beta Andrews, took care of our pack. When I found that out I was heartbroken. How did my parents expect me to just up and leave my mate when I loved her. I stayed up night after night trying to figure out how to break up with her. I was so tempted to tell her about werewolves and ask her to come with but knew she wouldn't be able to handle all the information at once. I know for a fact that once I tell her she will give me a speech on how stupid I was. So instead of doing that I did what I thought was best, I broke her heart.
I knew Mercy was her enemy and I figured to act like she was my other girlfriend and made sure she caught us kissing. I knew for a fact this would hurt her so bad she wouldn't want anything to do with me ever again. Those four years I was away from her was pure torture. It took me six months to be able to get a night with more than three hours of sleep. I used exercise and wolf fighting to try and get her out of my head, but nothing worked.
When I found out four years later a week or so after my 19th birthday that were going back, I was ecstatic that I would finally get to see my mate again. Then I remembered what I did her and I regretted it everyday. When we got back I knew I had some major issues to work on.
The house I live in is outside of our territory. We decided that it would be best for me to stay in town to protect Aislyn. See the reason why we came back is because Alpha Thompson's mate, Jessica, is after my pack, Shadow Lycan, because we helped her mate. She found out I found my mate and is going after her and her family. When I found that out I made it my mission to find Jessica and kill her.
When I got to the border I saw seven if the pack warriors and my dad in wolf form surrounding three rogues. When the rogues saw me stroll up they changed into human form. I didn't even bother changing into wolf form because I like talking to the rogues and showing them how intimidating I am without being a 7'0 werewolf.
I threw them the extra pairs of shorts I had so it wasn't awkward talking to them.
"Why are you here?"
They all laughed and looked at me as if I asked the most ridiculous thing in the world.
"You seriously don't know? We are here to warn you. Jessica is going to strike at any moment in time. We are here to let you know you better be ready because she is going to strike where you least expect it. "
And with that they fled off of our territory.
"Dad, we have to be more alert." My dad walked up to me in his 7'3 wolf form. He was looking down at me.
"I know son. We will do everything in our power to protect Aislyn. I hate to say this but I am going to have some of my warriors guard everywhere she goes to make sure that no one will harm her. "
"Are these warriors men? "
"Yes son, but only because they are some of my best soldiers. "
I growled at the thought of other men watching my mate.
"Why cant you get some of the female warriors to do it?"
"Because all if my women warriors are worrying about there own children. We don't want pups to grow up without a mother or a father. Just think about how Aislyn's parents feel about being without their only child for basically her whole life."
You see, when Aislyn was born it was a miracle to her parents because they were told that they would never be able to have children. When they found out they were pregnant they were spechless. They refused to let her mother, Catherine, to go put and do anything, fearing anything could take their little miracle away. After she was born, the doctor told them that she wouldn't be able to live in the pack.
There was something inside her that was nothing like any other werewolf, something they couldn't control. The scary part is, they had no idea what it was. The doctor said that staying in this environment might set it off, hurting her and her family in the process. For the safety of their child, they gave her to a human family that they have known for years. They have been longing to see their daughter for years and now, they just might have a chance to.
" Fine dad, but if one of them even thinks of laying a hand on MY mate, I will not hesitate to show them who is boss."
" I know son, you get that from me. I was the same way with your mother. Speaking of your mother, where is she? "
"Um, she is at the Alpha house with Aislyn."
" Son, I thought I taught you better then to let your mother alone with your friends. But I am proud of you for somehow being able to bring Aislyn to the Alpha house."
" Yeah, but she isn't staying there long. She is gonna want to go back home sooner or later. "
" That's alright at least can watch her while we can. I will go let her parents know she is with us for the time being. "
" Okay. "
"Now if I were you, I would go back to the house and save yourself from your mother."
My dad laughed a little. I took me a couple seconds to realize what I have done. I left my mother alone with my mate. The only girl who will be apart of this family, hopefully, besides her. Fudge nibblets, I really didn't think this through.
I turned around and ran to the house. Only the goddess herself knows all the embarrassing stuff my mom could be saying to Aislyn right now. Let's just hope it doesn't ruin my life more than it already is.
