Chapter 5

No, no no no no no. He did not just say what I think he said. Asher looked at me with a serious but sympathetic look,"Aislyn, are you okay?"

I looked at him as if a truck ran over me,"Okay? You are asking me if I am okay? Yeah sure, I'm so okay with the fact that there is a possibility that I am ADOPTED!"

With every passing word in that sentence my voice grew louder and stronger. Asher put his hands up,"Hey don't get mad at me. "

"Why not huh? For all I know, you are just being a jerk and trying to get my blood boiling."

His eyes showed fear, tremendous amount of fear," Hey, that's not the case at all. " His face softened to one of compassion,"Aislyn, you have to believe me."

"Why should I believe you? Huh?   You haven't really given me any reason to."

"I don't have any specific reason why you should forgive me but please, I beg you, just believe e, just this once."

"NO!  I will not let you sot here and tell me that my whole life has been one big fat lie. And I am certainly not going to let you of all people give that information. "

Asher got on his knees,"Please."

"No Asher. I told you, I am leaving the first sign that I think that you are lying. Goodbye Ash."

I stood up and took one step before Asher grabbed my arm. I stood there in shock. I looked back at him with the look of astonishment.

"Aislyn, please, I am begging you with all of my soul, please believe me. You have to know why I am here just please I am begging you please stay."

Tears were brimming his eyes, I looked away from him. He knows that I have a huge soft heart. I tried to pull my arm away but all it did was make him move his hand into mine. I looked back at our hands. They looked the same as they did 4 years ago, perfectly fit to be together. I looked at Asher unable to move my body at all. He looked straight into my eyes. His face was full of the look of pain and plead. His cheeks were wet due to tears and sorrow and plea.

With clenched teeth I spoke the few words I was able to,"Let go of me Ash."

"No, I wont let go. You have to listen to me."

I was just about to say something when all of a sudden he stood up and wrapped his free arm around my waist,"No I wont let go until you agree to listen to me."

"Really Asher? I warned you that if I even have the slightest feeling that you are lying to me, then I was leaving."

"I know but I am not lying to you. I would never lie to you Asy."

I laughed sarcastically,"Oh Ash, you are truly funny. You have already lied to me too many times. I used to trust you with my life. You were one of the only people that i could trust and you broke that."

He let go of my hand but all in all didn't let go of me. My eyes were getting teary. "Just let me go. Please. You should have never come back and I should have never let you back into my life."

He looked down at me. He look truly angry, and that is an understatement,"Aislyn, I will not let you go. I already did that once and that was stupid of me. Now that I have got you, I will never ever let you go again."

I was just about to say something back to him when his lips crashed onto mine. The kiss was sweet but powerful. His lips were irresistible and my lips betrayed me and kissed him back. A deep groan came from him and he held me tighter. The kiss was all too familiar to me. He moved his left hand to cup my cheek.

He was the one to end it after moments of our connected lips. He put his forehead onto mine,"Aislyn, even though I don't want to brake up this moment by any means possible, because let's just face it, That kiss was hotter than Earth's core, we have company."

I slowly turned my head to the right to find Dom standing there, with pure agony and torture written all over his face.
