Chapter 11

I decided to ware some Nike blue and black sport shorts with a black t-shirt.
I decided to meet Asher at the Coffee Shop. I know I know, not the best option in this situation, but I figured if he wanted to have a fight with me and embarrass himself in public then at is his own fault.
When I got to the coffee shop Asher was already leaning against the front door waiting for me.
" Well well well. You actually decided to talk to me in person. Let me be the first one to congratulate you on not being antisocial anymore."
I just glared at him while he laughed.
" Whatever. Now why do you want to see me in person. Is it because you need a day dose of humiliation because news flash, you do it to yourself everyday just by walking outside of your house."  I made a little fake smile at the end of that. When I saw his face though I instantly regretted my words.
" I am sorry Asher. I am just irritated and confused right now."
"Don't worry about it Aislyn. Let's go inside and get some coffee."
We walked in and decided to sit at a purple booth and waited for one of the waitresses to come over and take our order. I ordered just a simple hot chocolate while Asher didn't get anything at all.
" Aislyn, how did it go with your parents? Don't even bother trying to say that you aren't adopted because I know that is a lie."
" Yes Asher. You were right that I am adopted. What u want to know is how do you know more about my life then I do? "
He rubbed his hand over his face and down to the back of his neck, sonething he tends to do when he feels like he is in a complicated situation.
" Ash stop trying to nesting around the bush. You know more about me than I do and you are everywhere I am. Just tell me."
" I j-just can't. It will freak you out then I wont be able to protect you then-"
He trailed off from there I could see him start tearing up.
"Ash, what is wrong? What is so bad about telling me?"
"You wouldn't understand. You wouldn't understand the situation im in, you would think I was a monster when I am not."
"Just tell me Asher."
" I am scared Aislyn. You are just now talking to me again and I am not in the mood to screw it up."
"I just want to know who these bad people are that are trying to harm me and my family."
"Aislyn that's the thing. All of this revolves around what I am."
"So you are telling me that because if what you are, my family and I are in life threatening danger?!"
I my voice rising higher through out that sentence.
He rubbed the back of his neck and looked at the table, avoiding all eye contact with me. I swear if looks could kill that man would be long gone by now.
" Answer me."
My voice was dangerously calm and low, daring him to oppose.
Instead of giving me an answer he stood up and grabbed my arm and we walked out of the coffee shop. Good thing they hadn't brought the coffee out yet or else that would have been an awkward situation.
I was being dragged to his car when I bumped into something hard. I looked and found out that the hard object was actually a person. I started mumbling sorry when I looked up to see that it wasn't just anyone I bumped into, it was Dom.
"Um, hey Aislyn."
"Hey Dom." Asher's had was still on my arm but when he saw Dom he put his hand in my hand. I looked at him with raised eyebrows. He didn't even acknowledge me.
"How are you doing Dom?"
While I was saying that I was trying to get my hand out of Asher's without looking suspicious, he just tightened his grip. After struggling for a little bit I just gave up.
"Great. I just put in some college applications and im meeting up with the guys right now. "
"Cool."
I tried to smile the best I could but when I was just about to ask if I could join, an annoying sound came.
"Dom, why are you taking so-"
When the person the voice belongs to comes out into the open, I couldn't help but open my mouth in shock. "Alex?"
"Oh hey Aislyn. "
Alex then looked at me and interlaced her fingers with Dom's.
"So you and Alex are a thing now?" I looked at Dom with raised eyebrows. Really, seriously Dom, could you go any lower than dating my best friend when you know I love you. Good goddess.
"Uh yeah"
"What happened to Mercy? You had no problems holder in the middle of one of my performances this week."
"I was but-" He was cut off by Alex's voice, "He decided to be with the one he truly loves, me!"
"Why in the world would he want you?"
"You see, you screwed up honey. After Dom was heartbroken about you kissing your ex, I decided that he needed support and attention that obviously you couldn't give him. He tried dating Mercy but she wasn't meeting his needs. Let's just say we are closer than you guys would have ever become."
You see, Alex was known to go to parties and date guys and break there hearts. I became her friend because she was the only one who showed that they liked me after Asher left. She and I bonded and got to be really close. I never would have thought she would do this to me.
"How could you do this to me? What the heck have I ever done to you? I have been nothing but supportive to you. I was the person you turned to when everyone kept calling you a slut."
Ashers hand tightened in mine.
Alex was looking at me like I was her prey, like I was some stupid girl who fell into her trap.
"Oh Asy Asy Asy. You naive girl. You seriously thought you were the one I truly went to. You see Dom over here was nothing but supportive of since the beginning. You are just so caught up in the thought of love that you couldn't see that Dom never loved you in the first place. "
"Dom, is that true?"
I was getting really upset here. Seriously people, what the heck did I ever do?
"Yes, it is true that I never loved you. But Aislyn I wanted to, so badly. I tried but Alex always knew exactly what to say, all you would do is cuddle while she actually helped me by talking. I am sorry that you had to find out this way."
"I think I new a brand new pair of boots because this crap is getting deep. You can't be serious. So let me get this straight, you broke up with me because my ex kissed me, with me having no decision at all. All while you had Alex as a side chick all along?"
I think I hit a nerve because Alex immediately let go of Dom and stormed right towards me.
"You listen here you naive little bitch, I wasn't his side chick, you were just a girl for him to try while he actually knew he wanted me. He just waited for you to screw up, which you should be happy because you now gave Dom a true happy life with me. Not a fake one with a girl who doesn't even know that she is getting replaced right in front of her. Now come on Dom, my voice is way to precious to be wasted on this piece of trash."
"At least I can keep my legs closed around every guy in town." She shot daggers with her eyes and just walked into the Coffee Shop like she was the queen bee.
I didn't realize I was shaking till Ashton spoke up, "Come on Aislyn, don't waist your breath on her. She isn't worth it."
We got in his car and headed to his house. The whole car ride we sat in silence. I really wasn't in the mood to talk and I knew Ashton knew that. When we pulled into the driveway, he cut the engine and unbuckled. He then went over to my side and unbuckled me and picked me up bridal style. I didn't even bother trying to go against it so I just leaned my head on his shoulder.
He opened the door, walked through the livingroom and kitchen and down a hallway to what loomed like his room. He closed the door after we entered with his foot. He sat on his bed with me still in his arms.
"Aislyn, are you okay?"
I started laughing hysterically, "Oh yeah I am perfectly okay. My ex boyfriend ending having a side chick who was my best friend, and my best friend ended up not being my best friend. Yeah I am totally okay with everything that happened."
By the time I was done speaking tears were rolling down my cheek.
"Why would they do that to me Ash, why? Am I just that bad of a person that I deserve this?"
He put a finger underneath my chin and lifted my head up so I was looking at his eyes.
"Listen and listen close Aislyn. You did nothing, absolutely nothing to deserve to be treated like this. They were just menacing people who have nothing better to do than ruin other people's lives. If they had a positive outcome through this then they don't care."
He let go of my chin and I sunk back into his shoulder and wrapped my arms around him tight.
"They are just stupid bee's with itches."
Asher started laughing.
"What is so funny?"
"Bee's with itches, thats a new one for you Aislyn. "
I smiled and looked at him again, "Thank you Ash. You are the only person I can trust right now except my parents of course."
He put his hand to his heart dramatically, "I shall take this new found knowledge deep within my brain and heart where they will be there for all of eternity."
He talked as though he was a palace official or a soldier given hidden routes or information that only they know.
"Only you Ash only you."
I started to fall asleep when I feel his hand rubbing my back. Right before I fell into a much needed slumber I heard him say," There is nothing I wont do, just to make you love me, want me, trust me. Forever."
