The Lodger(s) [Part 2]

Inside Craig's bedroom...

Craig was lying in bed looking over the money The Doctor and Lexi gave him as he talked on the phone with his friend Sophie.

"No, I mean, they seem a laugh. His fiancé... she is pretty cool and he is a bit weird, but a good weird, you know?"

"And they just happen have three grand on them in a paper bag?" Sophie asked over the phone.

"Yeah."

"Wait, wait. 'The Doctor!? Craig, what if he's a dealer?"

"Okay, if he is a dealer, why would he bring his fiancé?"

"Well, I don't know. They could be like today's version of Bonnie and Clyde."

Craig just laughed.

Inside The Doctor and Lexi's bedroom...

The Doctor was laying side by side with Lexi on the bed as he talked to Amy.

"How's the TARDIS coping?" The Doctor asked Amy through the earpiece.

Inside the TARDIS...

"See for yourself." Amy held the mic out so The Doctor could hear the TARDIS.

"Ooh, nasty. She's locked in a materialization loop, trying to land again"

Inside The Doctor and Lexi's bedroom...

"...but she can't."

Lexi rolled her eyes and sat up. She snatched the earpiece from The Doctor. "Ok, it seems to me that whatever's stopping the TARDIS is upstairs in that flat."

The Doctor quickly snatched the earpiece back from her and put it back in his ear. Lexi pouted at him. He stuck his tongue out at her.

"So, go upstairs and sort it!" Amy shouted.

"I don't know what it is yet!" The Doctor stood up on the bed and started gently bouncing as he talked to Amy. Lexi clutched onto the sheets to keep herself from falling off the bed. "Anything that can stop the TARDIS from landing is big, scary big!"

"Wait... are you scared?"

Inside Craig's bedroom...

"A bow tie, are you serious?!" Sophie asked over the phone.

Craig heard talking coming from The Doctor and Lexi's bedroom. "Hang on a sec."

"What? Craig, Craig?"

Craig got out of bed and walked over to the wall shared with The Doctor and Lexi's room to listen.

"...Orange juice, eocenes Arbuckle, rare tarantula on the table, ooh!" The Doctor was talking nonsense from the other side of the wall.

Inside The Doctor and Lexi's bedroom...

"I can't go up there until I know what it is and how to deal with it! It is vital that this 'man' upstairs doesn't realize who and what I am. So no sonicking. No advanced technology. Lexi and I can only use this 'cos we're on scramble." The Doctor hopped down to sit on the bed forcing Lexi to roll hard off the bed and onto the floor. He whipped his head around to look at her. "Ooh, Lexi, sorry. Are you alright?"

"Peachy." Her voice was muffled since she was face down. She pushed herself off the floor and sat on the side of the bed.. "How bout no jumping on the bed; at least not when I'm on it."

"Agreed." The Doctor tapped the earpiece. "To anyone else hearing this conversation, we're talking absolute gibberish."

Inside Craig's bedroom...
