Atsuko wasn't really shocked that Atem had won the duel but what made her looked so shocked was what his father had said to her that she decided to ignore. He had warned her this would happen, but what about the events that would come from her losing the duel? Atem started making his way over the Atsuko when he saw her in a dazed state, thinking it was because her plan had backfired. Unknown to Atsuko, he hadn't seen his father appear before her, neither did any of the spectators. His appearance was for her eyes alone.

"Are you alright?"

"Atem, there's something I need to tell you." Just as she finished that sentence, everyone, meaning Kaiba, Mokuba, Pegasus, Yugi, Joey, Tea and Tristan, came over to congratulate them on a great duel and that it was one than no one would forget. Then reporters and other people from the stands came onto the duelling area, asking for autographs, pictures and interviews. Atsuko only became more worried and for a good reason. Suddenly, there was some type of explosion at the main entrance of the stadium, causing people to panic. Many of the people in the stands managed to escape through minor entrances but everyone on the main floor were trapped. Whatever caused the explosion blocked the entrance and their only exit.

"What's going on!?" "Are we trapped?!" "Is someone attacking the city?!" Millions of questions circled the floor with no one able to answer them. Atsuko had ideas of who it was but she wasn't going to cause more worry than there already was, seeing how there was about one hundred people trapped within the arena.

During the commotion, Atsuko lost sight of Atem and decided to look for him. She always felt safer at the side of someone she knew and he was really the only person here that she knew well. Squeezing through the crowd, Atsuko searched through the crowd of unfamiliar faces, covered with fear and worry, reminding her of that night many years ago in Egypt. Flashbacks began again, showing her scenes of the 'dead' guardians and soldiers that gave their lives to protect the mighty civilization. Back then, Atsuko was to blame, and now, it seemed history was trying to repeat itself, with her being to blame for what was happening again. Abandoning her original mission, Atsuko started making her way toward the stands, jumping to the railing and pulling herself to the second best seats. Almost no one had noticed her but the few that did thought nothing of it, possibly thinking that she was just seeing what was happening outside. The truth was though, Atsuko was going to the man she knew was behind all this. Walking through the messy walkways, Atsuko finally found the figure of the person she was looking for.

"I thought you would never show up." Gamal said, with two body guards beside him holding guns.

"I know you just want me so why don't you let everyone else go?"

"I wish it were that simple, but you see I need something from you and I need a bargaining chip. You get me what I want and I'll let everyone go once I get it."

"If I can't get it?"

"I'll decide depending on why you can't get it."

"What is it you want?"

"There is a code my father has for a program. Get it for me and everyone will be set free."

"What's the program?"

"ArchAngel it's called, yes? I believe your father's company was the one that designed it. Get me the codes and get into the system." The body guards started coming closer to her and she took that as a sign to get out of there and do what she was told. The fact that Gamal knew of an needed ArchAngel worried her because it was an artificial intelligence program that Egypt agreed to be the testers for. Everything for the program had not been set in stone yet, so he would be able to do a lot with it.

At that point Atem and the others were already looking for Atsuko, thinking she couldn't have gotten far. As time passed when they couldn't find her, Atem began to worry more and more because he too was also being reminded of the attack on Egypt he experienced in his past life. He didn't want a repeat of history because if this battle ended like the one in the past, he may not be able to live with himself for losing the love of his life twice. Atem began to search more frantically, every face slowly becoming a blur as he realized Atsuko wasn't in the arena with them, meaning she either escaped or...
