Days rolled by again.
Both Ram and Tripura slipped back into the rhythm of their busy schedules, each drowning in work, meetings, calls, and deadlines.
But no matter how hectic the day got, the two of them always managed to steal their little moments — fleeting touches in the hallway, soft smiles across the room, tangled hugs before leaving for work, sleepy kisses at night.
Those stolen moments of love kept them going.
No grand gestures.
No dramatic scenes.
Just two people finding warmth in each other between the chaos of everyday life.
Ram had been out for a week, tied up in Delhi for an important business meet he couldn’t postpone.
A full seven days away.
Meanwhile, back home, Tripura and Siya kept the house alive with their usual chaos and routines. The three of them stayed connected the only way they could — through calls.
Every night, without fail, they would catch up.
Siya would grab the phone first, excitedly giving Ram a blow-by-blow report of her day… including things that definitely didn’t need a report.
Tripura would come next, pretending to sound calm and collected, but her eyes always softened the moment she heard his voice.
And Ram — tired from meetings, suits, and endless handshakes — would find himself relaxing the second he heard his girls. Their voices were the only part of the day that felt like home.
Even though they were miles apart, the calls kept them close.
But still… seven days felt too long.

Ram was finally back home this morning.
Around afternoon, he was sprawled on the couch, lazily scrolling through his phone. His first real moment of calm after days of chaos in Delhi.
Tripura had been talking on the phone for a while, pacing around the living room.
When she finally hung up, she walked over to him and stood beside the couch.
“Ram?” she called softly.
He didn’t look up, only hummed, “Hmm?”
“How’s work going?”
Ram shrugged, still scrolling. “It’s okay. I mean… manageable.”
“Ahh, nice then.”
That made him pause. He glanced up.
“Kyun puch rahi ho?” he asked, narrowing his eyes a little.
Tripura cleared her throat. “Nahi, woh… you remember the tie-up we were planning with the child specialist? For the special kids’ learning project?”
Ram nodded. “Haan, yaad hai.”
“And my new business venture that I have been working on for quite sometime now?”
Another nod. “Ya, ya. What about them?”
Tripura inhaled, then exhaled.
“All these meetings… Sydney mein hai.”
That got his full attention. Ram put his phone down, eyebrows rising.
“Oh? So... ahm, when are you leaving? And for how long!?”
Tripura replied,
“I will be leaving by this weekend. And mostly it would be for 2 weeks or so.
