The rest of the day passed smoothly.

Tripura remained curled comfortably against Ram, leaning into his chest while he kept an arm wrapped securely around her, absentmindedly playing with her fingers and hair whenever he felt like it.

Meanwhile, Tripura continued talking.

She reminded him of everything that still needed to be done for the wedding. Which vendors needed to be called, which arrangements had to be checked, what timings everyone needed to follow, and which relatives needed special attention.

Somewhere in between all that, she drifted into sharing random stories too.

Little updates about her recent shoots, things that happened during her travels, funny incidents from work, and whatever else happened to cross her mind.

Ram listened.
Or at least appeared to be listening.

Every now and then he would nod, hum in response, or throw in a comment that convinced her he was paying attention.

But truthfully, most of what she was saying barely registered in his mind.

Because while Tripura happily kept talking, Ram found himself thinking about something else entirely.
Something he hadn't quite figured out yet on how to reveal.

Evening arrived lazily over the farmhouse.

The golden hues of sunset stretched across the sky while preparations for the D-day continued in full swing.

The lawn was slowly transforming yet again.
Workers moved around carrying flowers, arranging chairs, testing lights and setting up the final décor pieces for the wedding ceremony.

Every now and then someone from the family would walk over, give an opinion nobody had asked for, and leave feeling important.

The children were still running around with endless energy.
Siya and Neha's kids had somehow convinced Ruffy and Candy to join their games too, resulting in absolute chaos across the garden.

The couples were scattered around the property as well.
Some sat talking over tea.
Some walked around the grounds.
Others simply enjoyed the rare calm before tomorrow's madness.

Tripura was down in the lawn too.
Playing with Siya and occasionally throwing a ball for her fur babies who enthusiastically chased after it.

Her laughter drifted through the evening air every now and then.

A little distance away Ram was loitering around with Vikram, Palash, Aditya and a few others.
Mostly talking nonsense.
Mostly pretending to discuss important things.

Soon Neha wandered over and dropped herself dramatically beside Tripura.

She watched her for a few seconds then narrowed her eyes.
"Kya baat hai Tipsy..."

Tripura looked up.
"Hmm?"

Neha smirked.
"Tum toh ekdum nayi dulhan ki tarah glow kar rahi ho."
Then nudged her shoulder.
"Hmmm hmmm..."
"Kya baat hai...?" She wriggled her brows dramatically.

Tripura laughed softly and nudged her back.
"Aisa kuch nahi hai Neha."
"Stop assuming things."

Neha placed a dramatic hand over her chest.
"Haan bhai."
"Cheezein assumption se hi shuru hoti hain."

Before Tripura could reply, Neha's eyes suddenly narrowed.
"Achaaa..."

Tripura frowned.
"What?"
