Chapter 12- The Question

(Mia's P.O.V)

The time after your first anniversary with Raph seemed to be going faster and faster. You two did everything together. You didn't go to see your parents anymore. You missed them but you couldn't handle the fact your father wouldn't even give Raph a chance. It was hard but you had to. Leo had finally accepted the fact that he could never have you. This made things a whole lot easier during training and patrols. He stopped acting weird around you.

You didn't know why but he just one day stopped. You were glad he did. You and Raph didn't do special things with each other to often but when you did it was fantastic. Wether it was a holiday, birthday, or anniversary you two always did so something special. Raph did have to get help from April though.

April started coming down to the lair more often. It was nice to have another girl around. Sometimes she even brought Vern. They shockingly haven't hooked up yet. You would laugh at how he flirted with April and Mikey would get jealous. Vern and Raph would also argure about the littlest of things. It was really funny watching Raph yell at Vern and him get all defensive. You never saw Vern's friend Cory again after Raph scared him and you beat the crap out of him. You had no clue what happened to him but you always wondered.

Crime died down in the city. The Foot hasn't shown their faces ever since your guys's last encounter with them. The gangs around town were small and were easily controlled by the cops. There wasn't much for you and the guys to do topside so you spent a lot of time in the lair.

You'd help Donnie with his inventions every now and then, play video games with Mikey, train with Master Splinter and Leo, and you and Raph did just about everything together. Any metal clashing didn't bother you any more. You got used to it. Life was just as simple as could be. You decided you were going topside for awhile. It was day so the turtles had to stay in the lair. "I'm going topside to take a walk!" You yelled as you walked out of the lair and to the surface.

(Raph's P.O.V.)

"I'm going topside to take a walk!" Mia yelled. I was in the dojo. I wasn't worried about her to much. She can handle herself. I kept doing push ups. I kept thinking about Mia. We've been together for almost four years now. Maybe I should...I don't know...what if she's not ready?
My thoughts we're interrupted by Mikey. "Yo Raph wanna play some video games?"

"Haven't you played enough games today? You've had your face glued to the TV for hours." I said. "You can never play enough video games." He said. "Fine I'll play. If you can beat me." "Beat you?" "Yeah beat me." I said cracking my neck. "Um I think I hear Donnie calling for me. Coming Don!"

Mikey ran out of the dojo. He could never beat me. Even if I took it easy in him. I started working out again. Mia popped back into my mind. It's been four years it's not like she's gonna say no. What if she does though. Nothing will ever be the same. Maybe I should ask April for advice on this.

"I'm back!" Mia yelled. I guessed it was almost dark out. Mia came into the dojo. "Hey Raphie." Mia started calling me that about two years ago. It's stuck ever since. "Hey gorgeous. How was your walk?" I asked. "Good." "That's good. I think I might go topside myself in a bit. I haven't been out in awhile." "Alright I doubt there'll be any action though." "You never know."

Mia shrugged and walked out of the dojo and I went back to working out. About an hour past and I started to leave. I went topside to April's apartment. I knocked on her window. She opened it. "Hey Raph what brings you here?" She asked. "Actually I need your help again." I said. We went up to the rooftop of her apartment building.

"So what do you need my help with?" April asked. "Well I was thinking. Mia and I have been together for awhile now and I was thinking that I wanna-" April cut me off by squealing. "I knew it! I knew it!" "So do you think I should? Do you think she's ready?" "Yes Raph you should. There's no way she'll say no. Have you told any of the others?" "No you're the first one I've told. If you yell anybody I'm gonna-" "Don't worry Raph I won't tell anybody I promise."
