Chapter 16- New Skills

(Raph's P.O.V.)

"Yeah we know April we can see." I said. Donnie took the baby and cleaned her off. "Here Raph." Donnie said handing my little girl over to me. "Hey kiddo." I said holding her in my arms. I looked over at Mia to see she had fallen asleep. "So what's her name?" April asked. "Beth. Her name is Beth." I said.

"Is it over? I don't hear anymore screaming." Mikey said walking into the room. "There won't be any more screaming...hopefully." Donnie said. Mikey practically lit up when he saw Beth. "She's so adorable! Can I hold her Raph? Can I please?" "Fine but you have to be very careful." I said slowly handing Beth to Mikey.

"Hi Beth I'm your Uncle Mikey." Mikey said. Beth giggled at Mikey. I looked over to Mia to see she was waking up so I walked over to her. "Hey beautiful." I said sitting by her. "Hey Raph." She said. "You wanna see Beth." Mia nodded so I made Mikey hand Beth to Mia. "Hi Beth I'm your mommy." Mia said as she held Beth rocking her in her arms.

Master Splinter and Leo walked into the room. "Congratulations on the you little one." Master Splinter said. "Thank you Sensei." Leo just stood there and said nothing. "So are you guys gonna teach her how to kick some shell when she's older? What about weapons?" Mikey asked. "Mikey we haven't talked about much. She was just born we don't have her whole life planned out." Mia said.

(Mia's P.O.V.)

As you held Beth you couldn't help but smile every second. You finally had your baby girl and you couldn't be any happier. "Raph I'm gonna call my mom." You said handing Beth to him. You then grabbed your phone and called your mom. "Hello?" She asked. "Hey mom come down to the lair there's someone I want you to meet." You said. "Alright I'll be there in a bit." You then hung up and waited.

Your mom arrived at the lair. You led her to the lab so she could see Beth. Raph handed Beth to your mom. "She's so adorable." She said. "Her name is Beth." You said. You were glad that your mom was happy. You almost thought that she would freak out a little bit when she found out.

The rest of the day was spent taking pictures, talking about Mia, and listening to Mikey's questions. You heard a little snore that was coming from Mia as Raph held her in his arms. He fell asleep and started snoring to. "Well she certainly is like her father isn't she." Your mother said. "Yeah she is. I just hope she won't be as big of a hot head." You said letting out a small laugh.

You grabbed out a camera and took a picture of Raph and Beth. You smiled looking at the photo. You haven't set up the crib yet do that was what you planned to do. It would've been nice to have Raph's help but you didn't want to wake him. "Hey mom, April could you help me set up the crib?" You asked. They both nodded and you all went to yours and Raph's room which for awhile at least would also be Beth's room.

You grabbed the crib and opened the box. You all began putting it together. Following the instructions was easy but finding the right tools wasn't. Donnie had his tools scattered everywhere. You sighed finally finished. "This took longer than I thought." April said looking at the time. "Yeah it did. I should probably get going. I promise I'll come by again soon." Your mother said. You hugged and said goodbye before letting her go.

"Can I crash here for the night?" April asked. You nodded. The two of you walked to the living room. Raph and Beth were still asleep and still snoring. "Wow they really are alike." April said. "Yeah and I'm guessing she'll have his attitude. I just can't wait for the teenage years." You said sarcastically. "Hey you got through most of his. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get through hers."

"Yeah hopefully. Well I'm gonna go to bed it's been a long and tiring day." You said. You then went to your room. Your bed felt almost empty considering Raphael wasn't there. You sighed putting looking up at the ceiling. Then you smiled thinking of Beth. She was your baby girl and you were as happy as could be as you slowly drifted off to sleep.
