Fang was outside the ship with Brody the next day because Quint and Hooper were checking to see if there was any damage to the ship from the surprise attack from the shark last night. The two then came out to meet with Brody and Fang.
Quint: Got to admit Mr.Hunter this ship really can take a hit.
Fang: What did I tell you. She can withstand anything even being rammed by a 25 foot great white.
Hooper: Nothing seems to be damage and there are no holes so I think we're good for now and the engine is all right which is also good. Speaking of which anything on sonar?
Fang: All clear for the time being, though we better keep our heads up. He can show up at anytime.

Brody: Wait..there it is!
Quint: What did you say Chief?
Brody: The barrel is up, right in the stern.(Brody saids as he and everyone looked to see the yellow barrel floating in the water)
Quint: I think he's right under the keg. Grab the boat hook, Mr.Hooper.
Hooper grabs the boat hook and went to retrieve the barrel line. Fang knows that the shark was waiting underwater so it can make it's surprise attack.
Hooper: Quint if we can get close enough, Fang's got stuff on board that can kill him.(Hooper saids and grabs the barrel line)
Quint: We just want to goose him up, come on. Okay..when he runs, you drop that rope or you lose your hands. I've seen fingers torn up at the knuckles.
Fang: Also boys make sure to stay clear just to be on the safe side because he'll pop out of the water any time or minute or second.
When Quint and Hooper were getting the line out of the water, all of sudden the shark pops out of the water that shocked the hell out of Quint and Hooper. Fang grabs both of them by the shirt and pulled them away.

Fang: See what I mean! He's gone under again.(Fang saids and see's the shark go back underwater)
Quint: Start the engine! Mr.Hunter hook me up another barrel.
Fang: You got it captain. Hooper take the wheel.(Fang saids as he goes to hook up another barrel for Quint and Hooper goes to drive the boat)
Brody goes to put his gun belt on as well as loading his pistol with ammo. Fang who finished putting another line on a second barrel as well as hooking it to the spear gun. Quint soon came over and Fang gave the spear gun to him where he looks to see the shark swimming on the right side of the boat. Quint takes aim at the shark and fires another shark to the shark's head and now the chase continues.
