"Are you alright?" Was the first thing that left Jaebum's mouth as he entered the room. She and his friend didn't seem to be quite comfortable with each other yet, since she was sitting in the corner on the other side of the room, as far away from him as possible. He saw how her face lit up as she saw him but just moments later it changed to an expression of pure fear.
His wound was gone. There was nothing, not even a scar. Were you only imagining things? Remembering your own injuries, you were sure that everything must've happened. His gaze was fixed on you, as if he was waiting for something. Oh right, he asked you how you felt. "Oh, I-I'm ok" You stuttered and tried to understand what was happening. How could this be true? How can such a deep bite heal in such short amount of time? It just wasn't possible. You let your head fall into your hands because it was hurting by now. How should you believe this... You felt like you were about to go insane.
Jaebum started to panic. He had to calm her down as soon as possible. He gave Bambam a sign to leave, since he wanted to be alone with her. His friend left without a word and Jaebum took his place on the bed. "Come here" He wanted to have her closer, she looked so fragile. He felt the need to protect her but she refused. "I'm fine here, just please explain" She begged, sounding really weak. He gulped. Jaebum didn't want to tell her but he had to, but then Bambam had to erase her memory of which Jaebum also really wasn't happy about. He had to find a way to prevent that from happening. He got up and slowly approached her, careful, not to scare her.
You flinched. Should you be scared? He came closer and closer but your body was already pressed against the wall, there was nowhere to go. Closing your eyes, you just decided to let him do whatever he wanted to do. Suddenly, you felt his warmth as he embraced you. You were startled as his arms swung around you. Then, without another thought you started to cry. "Shh, shh. Everything is alright. You're safe here, trust me. I won't hurt you" His voice was so calm and relaxing. You buried your head deeper into his chest, already drenching his shirt with your tears. "I-I just do-don't unders-stand... He b-bit you, b-but there's n-no wound..." You sobbed but he just told you to calm down, running his warm hand up and down your back.
Eventually, you stopped crying and pulled back from the embrace.
"Please-" He already knew what she wanted so he cut her off with a quick nod. "But first you have to promise me something, ok?" He still held her tight with his hands around her waist. She slowly nodded, not knowing what she would get herself into. "You are not allowed to tell anyone about this ok? Not what happened last night and not what I'm going to tell you now. Can you promise me this?" She nodded again, but with a lot more confidence, then she added "I promise, you can trust me".
"Do you believe in supernatural creatures?" He asked after a while. Your eyes went wide. What? "I-I don't know?" You never really thought about if they were real or just some fairytale. "Well, what would you say if I told you I am one?" You didn't know how to react to this so you just looked at him wide eyed and agape. This had to be a dream. He looked so normal, how could he be something like that? Jaebum started to chuckle at your loss of words. You felt the blood rush into your cheeks out of embarrassment and you quickly turned your red face away from him.
"So what do you say?" He gently took your face by your chin and turned it back towards him, making you look at him again. His eyes were soft and you could see how desperate he wanted an answer from you. "So, are you a fairy then?" You asked confused but as he started to laugh and you immediately regretted saying that.
"Do I look like a fairy to you?" She was so innocent, unlike Jaebum. He petted her head. "You pabo" She started pouting and he couldn't stop himself from smiling at her cute little face. He really hoped she would not hate him or be afraid of him after he had confessed.
"Then what are you?" You really wanted to know it now but you were still not sure if he wasn't just kidding you. Nothing like this had ever happened to you before, it felt so awkward. "Please don't be scared of me" you could hear him whisper before his eyes looked into yours with sincerity.
"I'm a vampire"
