“Hi,” I said, while sitting down. “I’m Elle, you must be Charlie?”

He nodded.

“Sorry about bumping into you earlier.” I said.

“’Sokay.” He said looking straight ahead.

“And thanks for helping me.”

“No prob.” He said, again not looking at me.

‘ok, so they guy’s a jerk.’ I thought, and turned my attention toward the front of the room, where Mrs. Brown was teaching.

After history ended I made my way to my locker, according to the paper the office gave me I had locker 239,which shouldn’t be too far away from the History classroom.

I found my locker really easily, thank goodness, and put in my combination. Then I unloaded put my history book in, I would have just filled up my locker then, but I hadn’t gotten all of my books yet. I pinned my schedule onto the door, then noticed I had science next.

Yay. I hate science.

It was in classroom 34. I think that’s just down the hall, maybe.

Thankfully, I was right and it didn’t take me long to get there.

I walked into the classroom just as the bell was about to ring.

“Please take your seats.” The teacher said.

I looked around as everyone scurried into their assigned seats.

“Who are you?” The teacher asked me.

“Elizabeth Martinez.” I said. “I’m new here.”

“I can tell,” he said. “I’m Mr. Smith, please take a seat next to Amanda.”

I turned around and the girl I presumed was Amanda waved.

“Hi,” she said. “I’m Amanda, what’s your name?”

“Elle,” I said. “Elle Martinez.”

“Elle, that’s a pretty name, what’s it short for?” she asked. Her perkiness was evident, this girl had enough pep for five cheerleaders.

“Elizabeth.” I said, I didn’t mind my name, it was one of the only things I had left of my parents, so I treasured it.

“Oooh, I love it!” She squealed. I was amazed Mr. Smith hadn’t told her to quiet down.

“So, where are you from?” she asked. Jeez this girl was full of questions.

“Here in LA, I just transferred from Sea View. My stepmom didn’t want to be associated with a public school of any sort.”

“Oh, that’s cool, I bet you had a ton of friends over there, it must have stunk to have to leave.”

“Yeah, a little, but it’s not like I was little miss popular either. I have a few really good friends, but I still talk to them, so it’s not like I was totally cut-off.”

“Yeah I guess. Oh, we better be quiet, Mr. Smith is giving us ‘the eye,’ which means he is getting ticked, and we better not push it.”

“Ok.” I said, and we spent the rest of the class in silence.

When class ended, Amanda and I talked some more. We talked about the music we listened to, she was Justin Bieber while I was Jonas Brothers all the way, and what movies we’ve seen, we were both ones for sob stories. Before I knew it we were back at my locker.

“What class do you have next?” Amanda asked, and I showed her my schedule. “Darn, we don’t have any other classes together, but at least we have lunch. I’ll see you fifth period?”

“Sure,” I said, thankful that I had made a friend today.

But I have decided that I need set days to upload, so I think I have decided on Tuesdays, but I'm not 100% sure yet, and of corse there will be some Tuesdays where I won't be able to upload, like for instance the first week of August, I will be gone, so no upload then. Sorry! But I will try to upload on Tuesdays, but not this Tuesday, since I uploaded today. But anyway, again thanks for reading, the story and my long speech.
