Letter 3
Dear Diary,
School didn't end very well.
I keep the abusing a secret obviously. But, someone saw the bruises today.
My best friend did to be exact.
She asked me what happened and I told her that I had a rough day at dance yesterday and that's why I had so many bruises. She seemed okay with my answer, but then she stopped.
She then proceeded to point out that one of them looked like a hand print. And that's when I knew that I was in trouble.
"It's none of your business, Sophie! I'm fine, okay!?" I had screamed at her.
She looked taken aback, but she just shook her head and let it go.
Which I'm very thankful for.
That was a close one.
I'm gonna have to be more careful.
Gotta go, he's calling me.

Letter 4
Dear Diary,
I'm in a closet writing this. My father is trying to find me. I came home late and he's now incredibly pissed at me.
I'm so scared that he's going to find me. I don't want to go through the punishment that he'll give me.
Uh oh. I hear his footsteps. He's calling my name.
The doorknob is jiggling.

Letter 5
Dear Diary,
My hands are shaking. I have bruises all over my body. I'm weak and I can't get up. It hurts too much.
After he found me in the closet, he grabbed me by my hair and yanked me out. He then began to hit, punch, and kick me all night.
He never stopped.
He grabbed a tree branch off the ground outside and hit me with that when he came back. He also hit me with a couple of beer bottles and cans.
He even burnt me with his cigarette lighter a couple of times.
It was never ending.
At 6 in the morning, he finally stopped. And he told me to never be late again.
I won't be. Because five days and five letters from now,
I'll be gone for good.
