Dear Diary,
I have a problem.
Not the usual abusing problem.
A social life problem.
Josh Hyland asked me if I wanted to hang out with him tomorrow. Freaking Josh Hyland!
I can't even begin to explain how happy I am! I haven't been this happy since...... Well,
Never mind.
Of course, I told him yes. I mean, a guy has never even looked at me, let alone ask me to hang out with him. It was weird, now that I think about it. But I'm just gonna go with it. It's a reason to stay away from my father.
And I'll always accept an invitation out if it means staying away from him.

Dear Diary,
I just got back from hanging out with Josh and I had to sneak in through my window so I wouldn't get in trouble with my dad. He'd beat me if he knew I was out with a boy.
But enough of that! Let me tell about my day!
Josh and I went to Starbucks together and he was so sweet and funny the entire time! He bought my drink, made me laugh, and overall helped me smile.
Too bad I'm going to be leaving in three days time.
Or maybe not.....

Letter 8
Dear Diary,
Josh stayed with me all day during school. He never left my side. It made me feel incredibly special because all of the girls in school actually knew me for once. And they were jealous of me.
I mean, I'm nobody Chloe. I've never been noticed before and all I get everyday is beatings. Nobody likes me for who I am.
Except for Josh.
Even though my father burnt me with a hot pan that he was using, I was still happy about today. Though the burn is stinging horribly now that I'm thinking about it.
Maybe I won't have to write anymore letters.
Because I won't die.
