SHADOW'S POV
I was making tea which she had demanded when I was about to climb a stairs. I did not mind. I needed that. Something, anything to get down in my burning throat.
If not whiskey then fucking tea it is.
I was staring at the kettle like it personally wounded me just to avoid the enticing look I felt even without glancing her way.
I know she was not sympathetic towards me and that's what bother me that how raw her emotions are. Something I can never reflect.
Because even if it's the bravery, people think emotions make the person too easy. And I anything but easy except when I am near her.
The pain and grief settled in my chest lifted when I saw her sobbing like a baby she is while listening to each of my words, trying to not cry. It felt like she was mourning onto the thing I couldn't, I wouldn't.
On behalf of me.
When she told me that I saved her too from that Jeon, every cell in my body screamed to drag him out of grave and kill him in more torturous way than I have already did. I wish I could revive him just to kill him infront of her eyes.
Again.
This time staring in her eyes, not as a shadow she fear from the corner of room but as her husband she can never hide from.
My mind screamed at me once, she shouldn't be this vulnerable, not even for my past, not if she is not under me because the only way I like her cries when I make her cry in most sinful and corrupt way.
I scratch the inside of counter while fisting on it. I felt her stares, she was sitting just besides me on counter watching me. I don't like how she can see through the facade of calmness infront of her.
It leaves me raw and exposed.
The strike of patience broke when I felt her small hand crawled on my arm, caressing it gently with action of comfort but it only settled the fire within, she scooch closer near me on counter.
I tilt my head at her and something in me snapped, I straighten up and moved to stand between her legs before wrapping her hips and pull her closer until she was on edge of counter, completely pressed against me.
